Here's a pretty cool tool. You can find every streaming radio station on a map. This works across the globe.

My favorite so far

My co-worker in San Diego just introduced me to this yesterday!

He was listening to WNMC...

It seems like mostly public stations. When you open it, it lands on your local area.

I believe it was Mr. Doucette who brought this to my attention a few years ago, either on this board or elsewhere. Very cool! What's fascinating is what passes for "popular music" in various parts of the world.

Why is the word "Radio" included in the name?

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Because the audio originates from an actual broadcast radio station, whose signal you or I would never otherwise hear. So, a sampler, a "garden" of radio from around the world. Not at all the same as internet-only "radio."

Because it’s radio through the internet, also known as streaming. They say it’s the next big thing. I have internet radio in my truck and it’s amazing.

I've used Radio Garden for a while. Very enjoyable site. Could easily spend a rainy afternoon on it.

Shortwave is the ORIGINAL satellite radio.
