Dead Zone

There's a large shopping centre near our place in Florida. It's one of those modern kind of shopping centres where shops are just plopped down randomly all over the acres of parking lot.

I've noticed that when I drive in there, the SXM signal goes right out. A message on the screen says "satellite signal lost." There are no tall structures or trees around and there is no overhead canopy.

Even when I just drive by the property, on the street, the signal breaks up and becomes intermittent. What could cause that?

I don't mean to brag, but I just put a puzzle together in 1 day and the box said 2-4 years.
