Venture capitalist, i.e. a hedge fund.
DTE Energy paid $752 million in dividends to its shareholders last fiscal year. Remember that the next time they ask the MPSC to approve rate hikes.

The Rav 4 is built in Woodstock ON, just a few miles from here. I Rented a Rav 4 for for a day once. I thought it sounded tinny and noisy, compared to my Equinox. Also, the Toyota plant is non-Union, so I'm unlikely to buy their vehicle.

Anyway it looks like I'll likely be getting another Equinox. GM is the only Company old fashioned enough to be still using that quaint technology, satellite radio. I told the salesman at the Chevy dealer to find me one that isn't loaded up with high priced, fancy extras I don't need
I do like the looks of the new Equinox much, much better than the outgoing model!

I am unfamiliar with the plant in Mexico where the new Equinoxes are built. My dad's Chevy Blazer (either a 2021 or 2022 model) was built at a different GM plant in Mexico and has been a good car so far. He gets excellent fuel economy on the freeway, about 29 miles per gallon. His has the turbo 2.0L engine.

I am not too familiar with the in-house designed CVT that Chevy uses. The good news is it's not from Jatco! The FWD variant of the 2025 Equinox comes with a CVT. The AWD variant comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission. I believe most if not all 2025 Equinoxes come with a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder engine.

The noise complaint is a commonly mentioned issue with the all-gas RAV4 unfortunately. Upper trims might have some additional sound insulation, but I am unsure.

It seems lke satellite radio is going the way of AM stereo. The Automakers aren't putting in vehicles. It's only a matter of time until SXM stops broadcasting via satellite and makes it a streaming service.
They have to manage the blinking lights in the sky... They also continue to build new ones.

SXM has a great product, but as is the case with everything media, distribution models are changing. Running both streaming and satellites costs more that Apple, Amazon, Pandora, Spotify which are all providing services for less operational costs. It would be a shame to lost all the great talent, but SXM seems like they aren't growing users like the other services.
I will say that for the newer GM infotainment systems Siriusxm is so integrated into it that you can set a radio preset for any of their streaming stations. As long as you have a data source, there really isn't a need for the satellite signal other than in areas with no service. Their streaming only plans tend to be much cheaper than the satellite plans.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is the same size and similarly equipped as the Eqinox, but $10K less. It has SXM standard equipment. I'm taking one for a test drive tomorrow.

Excellent, is it built in Normal?

If by "Normal" you mean China, I believe it is.

The Mitsubishi plant in Normal, IL (Diamond Star Motors) closed in 2015. It was purchased by Rivian in 2017, and currently builds their EDV, R1S, and R1T models. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is assembled in three plants, in Brazil, China, and Japan.
