In 1983 when the Pay Channels started, I think 17-25 looked like this. C Channel was out of business by the time we subscribed to Pay TV, so I just had to guess where it was located. Channel 2-13 remained the same as in 1982 and they are mentioned earlier in this thread.

17: CHCH-TV Hamilton (Ind.) <11>
18: WGPR Detroit (Ind.) <62>
19: WXON Detroit (Ind.) <20>
20: TV Guide says it was a channel 24 (possibly Toledo)
22: Broadcast News (typed news / on screen bulletin board)
23: C Channel (I think)
24: First Choice
25: Superchannel

I'm going to have to dig around to see if I can find any Buckeye cable stuff, from back when there was A/B lines.

The following link shows info about the old Maclean Hunter Cable Systems in the 1970's.

Most were in Ontario, and a few were in New Jersey. In Peterborough 93.5 % of homes opted to subscribe to cable. In St.Catharines it was 38 % because many homes there could watch Toronto, Buffalo, and CHCH-TV without it. In Wallaceburg it was even lower at 20 %. It is no wonder that Windsor did not get a local Cable System until the 1980's.
