Worst-sounding radio stations of all-time.

Topics of general interest that just don't fit anywhere else.

102.5 in Adrian MI, for a time sounded awful. This was some years ago but it sounded really muffled, like a drive thru speaker at Taco Bell.

Yes, it sounds ok now. I think they were AC at one point, not sure when they flipped to classic rock.

Worst I've ever heard from a legal operation. Also just as bad as the worst illegal operations I've heard. I was in Alma in 2004 and caught this station playing an awful selection of music with no processing at all. It was overmodulating so badly that it was completely unlistenable playing The Candy Man Can then what sounded like a high schooler using a 90s computer microphone came on and did the ID.

One of a few failed LPFMs in that area of the state (along with 98.9 WQOS and 107.7 WRFK)

WNZK during Crystal Mayo's Motown and a cup-of-joe show.

I think they had to leave the building out of COVID concerns, so she's possibly doing the show from her home.

Distortion and clipping in the extreme.

My sister and I frequently tuned into Dr. Demento, and we'd record it off Q107 to enjoy again and again. Great times.
I would take the LPs the show was sent to us on into the production room after it aired to record the ones I liked as well!
