Beautiful Music format

Does any station in Michigan play the beautiful music format? Do they stream where I can get them?

Seeburg 1000 Background Music is listed under Instrumental (third row). There is a station known as WAVV in Florida, but I don't think it is the same as a true Beautiful Music broadcast.

U of M's WCBN 88.3 in Ann Arbor has a show called "EZ Livin'" which features a mix of traditional B/EZ music and some other easy-on-the-ears stuff. It currently airs Wednesdays 3-4p (but their schedule changes pretty frequently). That's about it. Beautiful Music as a full-time format hasn't existed in Michigan in almost three decades AFAIK.
Other than that, the closest and most nearby thing would be the "Instrumental Concert Series" on southern Ontario's "Lite" (formerly "Jewel") stations that airs nightly 11p-12mid. Good luck hearing that over the air unless you happen to be along the Lake Huron shoreline where you might be able to pick up Brantford's 92.1. And there are terrestrial stations elsewhere that still offer the format, such as the Catholic-owned KLUX in Corpus Christi TX, which streams here: https://player.cloudradionetwork.com/klux/

Here you go... this brings me back to the days of my overnight shifts at a nameless radio station in Detroit Michigan.

More unscoped airchecks from days gone by:

WJOI 97.1 Detroit (1987)

WGER 102.5 Bay City/Saginaw/Midland (also serving Flint) (c. 1985 - a year before the WGER/WIOG frequency swap)

And more WGER, from 1971:

Yep, those are the easy (hah) places to get it streamed.

Even though I often switch to it from Skynryd or Thoroughgood or Whitesnake, I'm a big fan....it makes great background music when working on the computer. But, it's not popular with most. Sirius tried to pull it from 69 a few years ago, faced a big backlash, and brought it back.

It no longer really works on terrestrial broadcast stations.....not a lot of advertisers value the listeners, and the type of spots that work with it have to be 'just right' or it blows the mood.

The box that many broadcasters won’t look outside of was made in 1969 and hasn’t changed significantly since.

I don't get satellite radio. I need something that is FM or AM, over the air.

Years ago, I remember listening to WGER when it had the good music format. For a while, even WBCM-AM had a good music format.

The old WXYT-AM: ratings tanked since 97.1 went on air. so, why not put an old beautiful music format, and live rii?

I found some decent music on Spotify and created by own listening chart.

Because it isn't in AM Stereo
