Re: Glorified babysitters scared to return to work

Saw this the other day and wondered what other job but maybe a pro athlete paying back the bonus for quiting early. ARIZONA Phoenix: A music teacher who resigned after being told he’d have to be on campus to teach virtual classes amid the pandemic is facing a $2,000 fine. The Dysart Unified School D...

Re: Glorified babysitters scared to return to work

We are seeing the result of years of kicking the can down the road. Same way we addressed the road issue. Let the next group deal with it because we are doing the 'death by a thousand cuts' management style. Roads, education, Post Office... you name it, life isn't free so now the cost is a much stee...

Re: Glorified babysitters scared to return to work

You said it..... I would venture that anyone who is so down on teachers was never one or married to one. My wife was a special ed. for 38 years and had to spend her own time and money to keep her certifications. That's taking personal time or vacation for travel and lodging 3 hours away to get the b...

Re: Photography in Hot Humid Weather

I've never had a camera fog up on me,but I have had to turn my head to exhale my breath because it would hang like a fog and obscure my shot. It was -25 that night... 2 jackets, one for me and one to pull over the camera. I was more concerned about a static charge building on the film.

Re: Trip advice needed

Late September was great the time I drove it. Started in Front Royal, VA on the Shenandoah Park road and it turns into the Blue Ridge Parkway. The speed limit was like 45-50 and nice places to stop and enjoy the view. Along the way roads break off to get to cities and towns along the way. Like I sai...

Re: Load Her Into the Patty Wagon

One thing that always stuck with me was an interview with one of the FBI agents that arrested her. He said the claim that she had been 'brainwashed' fit what he saw at the time of arrest. She was afraid that the Government was going to kill her on sight and when she was caught she asked to change he...

I follow Knoller on twitter and he has not changes anything in his info tag. Still says White House correspondent CBS News. His tweets are still current with what's happening there.

Re: Howard Hughes-Inventor Of Social Distancing

I always thought Susquatch was the original distancing type.

A side note, my late uncle worked for Hughes on the Spruce Goose. He said that his boss would call in the middle of the night to tell him to come in because Howard had an idea he wanted tested.
