There’s not a bigger fan of Drew and the podcast than me on this board. That said, I really don’t want to hear him on a sports station again. The podcast format and freedom is so well suited to his abilities. I’d listen if he was on 97.1, but I’d rather hear the podcast.

That guy had an absolutely sterling reputation. I’ve never heard a bad word uttered about him.

I know he’s got a short shelf life (if you know why, I’d love to hear) but Damon Perry is still around. That guy entertained the hell out of me and I think he and Stoney could be good together.

Agreed- the airport location is also too far from a majority of the area population.

Absolutely right, Editorcj. From downriver, or even just near the Ambassador Bridge, the palace seemed like it was a million miles away. I don’t remember many friends going there very often. It was like a road trip to get there.

What happened to Wolters?

According to the DetroitCast Facebook page, he is having some horrific health issues.

Wow- I had no idea about Wolters. I have been thinking he would eventually head over to Drew’s show. I’ve been a listener since ‘95, and to me the show is still the best thing available. I don’t listen to every show start to finish, but it’s still very much what it used to be.

I heard the game today and Price's voice sounded like that of a fragile elderly person. I know he is older and his health has been quite shaky, but it really hit me today that his voice aged 10 years over the winter.

I like Maz a lot. He seems like a great guy and a ton of fun. However, like Drew said they had a certain show four days a week and a totally different one on Wednesday. Hopefully they will actually use him as a correspondent, as that would be his best fit with that crew. If there was a show I’d like...

At this point, considering the current aptitude of Tiger management, I’m actually going on the assumption that JV is in the right. I would really like to hear what his reasoning was for this, but we’re talking about a guy who has a sterling reputation with the media and fans who encounter him.

Whatever the issue (which as Jeff and CJ notes is none of our business), I hope she recovers soon. She seems like a genuinely good person and does a ton in the community.
