As a graduate of Royal Oak Kimball 55 years ago, I had the opportunity to do a daily show, plus football and basketball play-by-play on WOAK FM, the school's educational station. I thought I was another Lee Alan/Dave Diles...

This is a great tape..J.P. was at the top of his game. It only underscores how far the "Great Voice of the Great Lakes" has fallen....now only an extremist shell of its former broadcasting excellence.

Agree with Jeff Dugan. Live in the D is much more viewer friendly. Great restaurant reviews, great things to do in the city. Tati Amare and Carr do a good job hosting. They've managed to find a niche in the market.

The real radio djs...and personality radio...left in the late 70s/early 80s. Nobody today like JP McCarthy, Lee Alan, Tom Clay, Marc Avery or Dick Purtan, et al.

Borderboy...Goodwin was at CJOM, not CJAM. CJOM, I think, was Canada's answer to WABX.

Carr does a much better job on 4's Live in the D. His hosting with Tati Amare and producer Randy Henry is more relaxed. The hosts seem to have a better relationship than those at Channel 2, where I always seem to catch a bit of tension. Just one man's opinion..
