Re: Will 98.3 in Monroe Re-brand or Flip?
Why not keep the "Nash" name, is it copyrighted or something? Probably, but by only it's current owners. I think Classic Country is the only way for that station to go. It's a tough nut being in Monroe, and trying for Toledo audience. Tower-98 tried to do it for years, and didn't seem too successful...

Re: Loss of Limbaugh, Retirement Of Beckman And Others, May Force Changes At WJR
Right now, the Rush reruns are working. Rush knew he was dying, so he anticipated what he had to do to keep his legacy alive. Apparently, he cataloged years of his broadcasts, according to topic. So, whoever succeeded him would be able to retrieve Rush's take on the given topic. So whether you like ...

Re: Thursday Night Football on ABC?
Maybe ABC Sports will bring back Wide World of Sports. I'm in the mood for some great dog sled racing, or Skiing competition. Even as a kid, I couldn't believe ABC broadcasts sporting events that had such limited appeal. They probably didn't have to pay much in broadcast rights. And, advertisers lik...

Re: Ron Cameron
How about asking Ron if he’d be interested in replacing the retired Eli on the podcast with Denny & Page? I listened to the Saturday Ron Show. First time I have heard it on WPON. It's been at least a couple of years. Anyway, someone called and asked about Ron joining Page and McLain on their podcas...

Back when Frank started at WJR around 1972, I remember him doing the news breaks during Arthur Godfrey Time.

Pardon me, where did you get the 77-78 WXYZ broadcasts? I'd love to hear them. It's my favorite era on radio, especially WXYZ!

Re: WJR "Kaleidoscope" Host Mike Whorf Dies
And, Gene Elsy hosted "Music for Moderns"! Who hosted the Sunday morning show, and what was his name? I forgot, but I remember he became the public address announcer at Joker Merchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida after he retired from WJR.

Curious, does Warren sell and voice ads during the show? Is he buying the time? What's the deal?

Re: Beautiful Music Stations in Detroit
Funny story, I worked at a AM/FM combo in the 70s. I announced/deejayed on the AM. And, I ran the automation, if that is what you want to call it, on the FM, simultaneously. Basically all I did on FM was voice the Legal ID on the hour on the FM. The "automation" was large reels of beautiful music, w...

Re: LGBTQ+ News Personalities
I really, really hope this doesn't violate the posting or content terms of this forum, but I was wondering outside of the obvious ones like (Hank Winchester), I wonder who considers themselves apart of the LGBTQ+ Community? I was thinking maybe the new reporter on Local 4, Victor Williams? Rudy Har...
