Narrower AM HD ? I just took a look at an AM HD siglnal .It covers 30 kHz of the band spectrum ! AM 1090's audio levels and signal strength are both super faint. The station is barely discernible. Wouldn't surprise me if they are using a long wire setup to remain on the air. You mentioned WMUZ being less then 500 ft AAT, I know the new tower they have been using for decades is a 500 footer (AGL), they abandoned the 300 ft tower and put up the 500 ft right next to it! Been a long time now !

Listening to 1710 kHz, repeating message about tech difficuleits, From Hudson County NJ. Usualy those community traffic alert stations are 10 Watts or less, Strong in Suburban Detroit !!
