Surprised no one brought up A&E -- back in the day, it was arts and cultural programming. These days, it's mainly crime shows such as "The First 48" and "Live PD".
Yep, I miss what A&E used to mean.

WMYD-TV 20 Detroit and it's subchannels are only available on Buckeye Broadband on the Michigan side of the border, namely Bedford township.
Yep, Bedford Township is practically the furthest Buckeye can offer the Detroit channels these days (and I'm about a half mile from the state line).

Re: 13.6 and .7

Speaking of "Channel 48" which still shows up as diginets of CH36 RF, they did improve the video greatly on Cozi, but Antenna TV is still not decent at all. I'm afraid that WTVG is going to have too many diginets and then we'll lose the improved video of MeTV, which is so much better from WTVG than...

It looks like WADL replaced Cozi with QVC OTA. The local affiliates make much more money with shopping channels than they do with the regular OTA broadcast networks.
I have yet to see this happen in Toledo (for now), though we did have a low-power HSN station on analog UHF for years.

Re: WNWO last night during SNL.

WNWO is extremely low tech. I still think 48 is the worst technical-wise. 24 is a very close second though. This is not the first time 24's had technical problems recently. It ought to be a small-market station. WNWO in recent days had made the old WDHO look good. True there! Of course this clip is...

Re: Difficult To Watch BBC Programmes In America

So how does the British government know if you are illegally watching OTA broadcasts? How is this enforced? Is there something in the TV that won't let you watch if you're not licensed? You can still use your TV in the UK, but the BBC has a fleet of vans that roam around the UK, detecting who's wat...

Re: Difficult To Watch BBC Programmes In America

To me this TV license thing seems like an unfair tax. I was under the impression that over the air signals were free but yet the Brits are being charged. I would be curious as to how many British households don't have a TV for this very reason. Will TV's just NOT work if you're not licensed? The id...

Re: WNWO last night during SNL.

I sound like a broken record when these issues come up, but I wish the FCC would do away with their "network non-duplication" and "syndex" rules so cable providers like Buckeye Broadband could offer NBC via Detroit's WDIV, in addition to WNWO, so when things like the SNL screw up happen, consumers ...

Re: WNWO last night during SNL.

Last night during SNL, WNWO apparently had technical problems by running commercials, cutting off most of Lizzo's performance and Eddie Murphy's last skit. Lots of outrage on Facebook and Twitter. WNWO claims that it might have been a network issue. I've noticed technical problems on WNWO more so w...

https://youtu.be/EewIWWddPtI The guy can ramble on a bit, and is a bit bland and monotone, but has some interesting information on ATSC 3.0 reception. Looks like multi-path interference won't be as big as an issue, which for me is my biggest issue where I live. Certainly sounds a lot more what I ha...

Re: Don Cherry fired from Sportsnet

Anytime the phrase “You people” is used as a predicate, the remainder of the statement generally isn’t going to end well... "You People" certainly has became a dirty phrase of our century. The funny thing is, that those who really think what was said was bad are not trying to clarify who is and is ...
