Re: Back to the Pricks

Are these actual quotes you're yelling at kids from your front porch rocking chair?

It was so nice for the week that HL101 was silent on the Buzzboard. Oh, how I miss the good ole days.

Re: Another TV5 departure

HL101: yet another example of your hypocrisy... bashing your former coworkers at 25 while not criticizing employees at other stations who have made similar big market jumps. Your jealousy is showing again. The reality in this business is that in order to get other opportunities, raises, etc. is that...

Re: Another TV5 departure

HL101: another example of you taking a post off topic with a rant against a former coworker. As for the 25-66 photographer, he's getting a job in Orlando... sounds like a decent promotion to me. Unlike recent TV5 and ABC12 departures where they are getting out of the business. Also, reporter Amy Hyb...

Re: Here we go again :/

TeddyBear: I think we're talking about two different things. Local broadcasters use government data (radar, temp info) as part of their FCC mandate to provide local news and weather information free to viewers over the air. Yes, local broadcasters make money through advertising... but they don't cha...

Re: Here we go again :/

TeddyBear: by your same argument, entities like the Weather Channel or apps/websites that use this data would also not be able to use taxpayer funded weather data? Not sure that helps with the retrans dispute between local broadcasters and a media conglomerate like AT&T... or the local TV viewers th...

Re: Here we go again :/

I cannot understand why AT&T/DirecTV, which makes BILLIONS in profits every year refuses to compensate local TV stations for the local news, weather, sports, entertainment programming they provide. I'd rather have my local TV stations than some of the cable stations they force us to include in their...

Different Jayne. I think you're referring to Jayne Berklich, who is the Programming Director at JRT.

WJRT News Director leaving

WJRT/Gray TV has posted their News Director, Jayne Hodak, is leaving this month.

First it was Ian Rubin leaving WNEM... now Jayne is "retiring to spend more time with her family".

Don't these waves come in threes? If so, Mike Schram at 25-66 should polish up his resume!

Re: Bill Harris retiring

Dude, once again off topic. And you must have stopped taking your meds if you think this is a court of law that has standards of proof. Luckily for you, the Buzzboard doesn't have these standards. Otherwise, you would have been banned years ago. But sure, feel free to attack others with your "wit" (...

Re: Regional Emmys

Yes, I am still employed by TV5, and management has made it very clear that they'd prefer us not to engage in these online forums. So, yes, I am choosing to remain anonymous (which is my right). Not that that matters or has anything to do with you once again taking us away from the topic at hand: WJ...

Very true. We only need to look at this forum for trumped up outrage for the sake of starting an argument and trolling others.

Who says any of the persons who were listed aren't also intelligent. I know most of those who were mentioned and can say they are some of the kindest, hardest working teammates. You can be "hot" (others word) and smart and a good person. Good for all of them. Bad on HL101 for once again taking anoth...
