He and Stern have totally given in to the hysteria. Sad in a way.

Both are great talents....

That I can no longer listen to.

Re: 1130 "The Fan" to disappear- iHeart launching new network

Diversity in radio is a great thing, but this smells like more fake 'woke' pandering. But WDFN has been a dead stick for a decade what do they have to lose?

I'd rather see a local legit minority broadcaster turn this into a station targeting Detroit's African American community.

I’m surprised 104.3 doesn’t play any Celine Dion.

Re: Nielsen May 2020

I would submit that the numbers we've seen in the last two books are probably pretty close to an accurate representation of the people actually listening to radio pre-pandemic. The stations that seem to have taken the biggest hit are those that are on in retail establishments, offices and the like....

Re: Gretchen the Media Queen

I got five dollars that says she still locks down the economy until November and blocks the rallies, in hopes of an appointment to the Sixth Circuit or H&HS Secretary I've got 10 that says a lot of people will ignore the next lockdown. Because it's coming. Well, for us it is. Not for Wretch. She ca...

Re: Nielsen May 2020

Cheap? Reality check sport, other than maybe Hubbard or Bonneville, NO radio group has got money for anything. They're cutting jocks, not hiring them. IFart just extended their furloughs through the year, and Cumulus will most likely follow suit. Ad revenue vanished in March, and so did a lot of bus...

T-Ball :lol Excellent!

The riots are dying down look for Big Wretch to crank up the covid panic 'we aren't out of the woods yet' bs again shortly, even though she was cheek to jowl with thousands last week.

Re: Nielsen May 2020

Cume is still down a good 35% to 45% from normal levels for most FM stations. 97.1 The Ticket is down about 50% from normal. Ditto 104.3. 93.1's AQH share has surged over the past couple surveys. Their 3.9 is the all-time best for 93.1 as a country outlet. Will be interesting to see if that trend h...

WOMC is sucking could they eventually completely change to something else they seem to be adding more 90’s and 00’s in their playlist.
Doubtful anybody changes anything until things settle way down ie: people start commuting, sports play-by-play comes back, etc.

Re: Gretchen the Media Queen

Confirming what most of us knew all along: The lockdown was bullshit. Weren't they all wagging their fingers at the people partying in pool in The Ozarks two weeks ago saying they were going to kill us all by not 'Social Distancing'? ( Zero new cares there btw) Ironically most of those people standi...

Re: Gretchen the Media Queen

So when does Big Wretch scold the protesters for violating the 100 people or less order and for not social distancing, and remind them to do their part and wash their hands because we're not out of the woods yet?
Meanwhile we can't watch live sports, go to a concert or get a haircut.

Re: Detroit Protests coverage

The media loves all this rioting. They know that their cameras and lights help stir it up. They'll put on a self-righteous pose that they are shocked at all the rioting, but they can't wait to see what kinds of dramatic footage they captured, and what kinds of war stories they can tell back at the ...

Has anyone from Mr. Floyd's family stepped forward and called for an end to this insanity? I've had to turn off all media it was breaking my heart so may have missed it.
