Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?
What are the odds we get real investigative journalism and more hard news reporting out of this from CBS ala CBS This Morning/CBS Mornings and 60 Minutes? I'm not saying the entire newscast needs to be Steve Wilson and Scott Lewis investigative reports, but a hard news approach with some real invest...

Re: August ratings
If 106.7 was going to stay as rock then I wish WLLZ would do something genuinely different. They can keep the same late 60's through 90's playlist but change it up by expanding their stable of artists and songs. At this point they aren't going to out WCSX 94.7 and beat them at their own game. Why no...

If All Voice Tracked, All the Time Audacy were to bring back V98.7 and smooth jazz to WDZH would it do any worse than alternative is currently doing?

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?
Again, I hope they focus more on hard news and investigative journalism like CBS This Morning used to do. I'd love to see an equivalent of a VICE News at the local level, but that is simply a pipe dream. Just going off of local or formally local talent that is still available, I think they could bui...

Re: August ratings
How long is WDRQ going to be allowed to flounder around at a 2.0-2.2 rating? Why can't we get a new format? Nash Icon/Country gold, sports, a returns to DRQ 93.1 with classic dance hits or CHR? Why does Cume-less insist on keeping a dead new country format on the station?

Is Emery King too old to be a lead anchor at this point?

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?
I wish they would do a hard news operation and bring in a strong investigative team with the likes of Steve Wilson, Scott Lewis, and Bill Spencer. I know Wilson is out of doing local news these days and Bill Spencer is down in Houston. If Scott Lewis is still around the area I'd love to see him come...

Re: April 2021 ratings
It's too bad Cume-less didn't pull the trigger on sports talk when they had both the Lions and MSU in their portfolio. How long will New Country 93.1 be able to labor on with poor ratings and likely low billing numbers? Why not flip 93.1 to a gold-based country station/Nash Icon? A playlist that is ...

Re: Entercom/Audacy
Are the top of the hour IDs on 97.1, 98.7, 99.5, and 950 saying "an Audacy station" or "powered by Audacy"?

Re: Say what you want about Cumulus, but this is an EXCELLENT hire...
What is this guy going to do to 93.1 that's really going to make a difference for the station or a dent in the ratings? Will Cume-less let him rerand the station to a less generic sounding name or move W4 back to Detroit? I doubt that it will be rebranded, much less bringing back W4 Country. Hire go...

Re: Can the last one at DRQ turn out the lights?
I'd love to see a W4 simulcast and bring it back to Detroit ala Wheelz coming back on a different frequency, but that won't happen. I would rebrand it x3 and if you're not calling it W4 Country, then call it something like Q-Country 93.1 with a "Today's Best Country and Your All Time Favorites" type...

Re: Can the last one at DRQ turn out the lights?
I thought their best shot at flipping was going to sports/talk when they still had the Lions radio broadcast rights. I know there are people here who dispute whether or not another sports station is needed or would work in Detroit, but I thought that was the best option at the time. Chances are thou...

Re: 4 Country Stations in Detroit-Windsor
I wish someone in country radio programming would grow some stones and have the guts to program an Alt-Country/Indie Country station. Essentially the country version of a AAA station. A music mix that still played modern and classic mainstream artists that sound discernably country but also throws i...
