Not a good feeling

Neither Hillary or The Donald are a good choice. In my opinion, both have more faults than the west coast. I think any third party candidate with any sort of name recognition would beat them both. I feel no one should be cheerleading for Clinton or Trump without reservation.

The Supremes

The thing I ponder the most about is the direction the Supreme Court may take the country. The next president may very well have the opportunity to seat up to 7 justices in the next 8 years. A heavily conservative or liberal court that's going to be making decisions for the rest of our lifetimes. Ev...

Restrooms

Couple of years ago I was at a Walmart and had to use the mens room. I walked in and there was a woman changing her kids diaper on the fold down board they provide. I walked back out thinking I was in the wrong room, but it was the mens. I went back in and went to use the urinal, then changed my mi...

Re: Speed limits

I think I'd rather see the signs stay at 70, and direct law enforcement to only stop above 80 or 85. I agree with bmw, and disagree with NS8401. I think a signed speed limit of 80 is going to have many drivers exceeded 95-100. That’s just too darn fast to stop for a backup, or avoid a sudden lane ch...

Updating GPS in a 2008 car?

I wouldn't bother paying for an update, especially if you have GPS on your phone already. All the roads (except US24 from Toledo to Fort Wayne) are pretty much the same. I wonder if you can get an update for free directly from the manufacturer of the gps? I mention US24 because very shortly after th...

A third party

Just out of curiosity, what are the logistics involved in someone running as a third party candidate or independent? As an example, if Sanders loses the nomination, and wants to run for president anyway. Or if someone like Romney decides to go third party to "Save the Republic" from Trump. I'm not s...

Does Trump want to be president?

For a few months, and I've posted here in threads, I don't think Mr. Trump really wants to be president. I've posted before that running for president is the best publicity money can't buy. I feel his remarks are intentionally incredulous. I think he's just in it for the vaudeville. I think his comm...

Re: Who could you support for President?

[/quote] At the risk of violating Reagan's Commandment, I am posting some of Mr. Cruz's accomplishments. I welcome you to do the same for Mr. Rubio so we may compare. Cruz graduated cum laude from Princeton University. Cruz attended Harvard Law School, graduating magna cum laude in 1995 While at Har...

Re: Who could you support for President?

I really think anyone who wants a Republican should have Rubio at the top. The ideal candidate isn't so much who you want to win, it's who can beat the Democrat. Rubio is young, Rubio is Latino, I'm not saying he's ideal, but if you want a Republican, you can't argue he really is the best shot to be...

Re: Right to work comes to The Mountain state

I have had a couple union officials tell me, but can't find it anywhere, that when right to work was first getting drafted, the unions fought for the right TO represent the workers who opted out of paying dues.

Re: A good piece by Rush?

I personally, for no good reason, also think The Donald just got into this for the vaudeville and don't really want it. It don't make sense for him to really want to spend 4 or 8 years away from his business. About 2 months ago, there was a compelling article on MSN saying the same thing about Carso...

Re: WCBS-TV Video From 2001 Supports Trump Statement

I'm not gonna go search it, but there's a CNN YouTube video with Anderson Cooper that also supports The Donald.
