Re: Useless College Degrees Numerically Ranked
Conclusions "seem accurate" based on what? What you want to believe? Sorry, I don't believe one thing from this "chart". Show me some data and context to the research methods used to interpret the data. For starters, show me a correlation between the degree and the job obtained, time it took to get ...

Re: Useless College Degrees Numerically Ranked
Those "metrics" at the top of this useless chart seem... ahem, less than scientific.
I graduated from Walsh, and I still see value for some people and society in those degrees listed. Diversity is OK. We can want different things in life.

Re: Fucking Covid
I was rather suddenly hit with a NASTY, NASTY headache. Been having trouble sleeping because of the headache and Advil isn't helping all that much (though is doing just enough that I can still go about my day). It feels like sinus pressure and is mostly behind my eyes and on the top of my head. But...

Re: Fucking Covid
I still don't know what to think of my case. It's been a few days, and I still haven't tested positive. My taste quickly returned, my headache went away, and I feel no pressure in my head. I was told by my doctor that until I test positive, I can't receive treatment, and I have no isolation restrict...

Give me 1270. I'll do something better than sports betting or religious programming.

Re: Fucking Covid
After 4 years of successfully avoiding covid, it finally got me. My test was not positive, but others in the household did test positive today, and I have very mild symptoms so far. Had to cancel my attendance on a work trip this week that I organized, and the successive vacation afterwards. How di...

Re: TCL TV Advice
No specific advice on TCL, but in my experiences with smart TV's, I hate them. I was in the market this year for a new non-smart TV after my experiences with smart TV's, but I guess those aren't made anymore. I've resorted to disconnecting the TV from wifi and plugging in a Roku stick or similar and...

I find what's happening in that photo to be no more offensive or creepy than any Halloween costume, and kids and adults LOVE those! I'm less offended at what's happening in the photo above than I am offended at say, Ronald McDonald's purpose.

Re: Southwest caters to morbidly obese
I bet the airline would be thrilled to learn of people getting more angry at the larger person, instead of getting angry at the airlines for creating a situation where everyone is squeezed into these increasingly shrinking seats. I guess it's easier to blame the person next to you for your discomfor...

Re: Self Checkout
Not long ago, I was shopping at a Meijer. I was in there for not quite an hour. When I went to check out, the only lanes that were open were self checkout lanes. There was not a single one with someone at a register who could help you bag, give change intelligently, or other things that service peo...
