Re: Another ALT gone

Haha… Of course this happens the weekend I’m in Toledo. I’ll be driving back Sunday evening, 103.9’s signal becomes available just before Sidney. Had a feeling something was up Mix 107.7 has been playing more new music recently. Plus at the moment Dayton doesn’t have a Christmas music station. 92.9 ...

Re: Audacy ends "2 Minute Promise"

Not sure if I would count that one as a variety hits but every now and then The Eagle throws in a really good 90’s song. The Eagle is Kinda like WOMC.

Re: Audacy ends "2 Minute Promise"

Yes in Dayton we have 92.9 Jack FM kind of similar to the old 93.1 Doug FM Detroit. Doug FM’s playlist was organized better than Jack FM’s. One day I heard Notorious B.I.G. straight into The Rolling Stones and I thought to myself… ouch! Yes they do claim to play everything but ease us in from one so...

Re: Audacy ends "2 Minute Promise"

Wouldn’t be opposed to Jack FM but I don’t wanna see another boring played out classic rock type of that format. Late 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s with Top 40’s hits including Rock, Pop, Dance, R&B and friendly Hip Hop would be perfect.

Re: Audacy ends "2 Minute Promise"

Thanks! As much as I would like to see 98.7 AMP come back, which I know it won’t happen. Audacy really doesn’t care about 98.7, kind of curious to how long this alternative format will remain on that station.

Re: Audacy ends "2 Minute Promise"

Speaking of 98.7… I was in Detroit yesterday for a concert with the wife and flipping through the stations I landed on 98.7 for a little bit, noticing that one of their RDS displays is still showing 98.7 AMP RADIO which has it been around for about 3 years now. Ford recently just came out with the s...

Re: Detroit Radio Ratings for October

Has anyone else noticed how low Channel 95.5 has fallen, with no competition in the format you would think they would be killing it. You have to wonder if it is a case of young people not listening to terrestrial radio? We also don’t know how 93.9 Virgin Radio is performing in the ratings on this s...

Re: Delmarva acquires 2 Dayton stations.

Too bad that 106.5 couldn’t remain smooth jazz, definitely can tolerate it over many other formats. Agreed, I’m a H*** 90s grunge/alternative and the 2000’s had same good stuff to but as soon as the 2010’s came around modern rock took a crap. As for 103.9 the only time I listen to them as if they’re...

Re: Delmarva acquires 2 Dayton stations.

Wasn’t WDSJ smooth Jazz? iheart is keeping the 2 AM stations because they still own those out right, they do not own the two FM stations are getting ready to disperse which are owned by Aloha Station Trust II. True, never understood why they flipped The X. I used to listen to 103.9 online when I sti...

Re: Delmarva acquires 2 Dayton stations.

iheart is done with country in Dayton. B94.5 never preformed that well against *MONSTER* K99.1FM, also didn’t help that we have 101.5 HANK FM ,Classic Country 105.9 plus the out of market stations 94.1, 96.1 and 105.1. Ratings wise BIG 106.5 did well with it’s limited reach due to it’s rimshot signa...

Re: RIP 89X

Sad to see 89X go, another station from my childhood bites the dust. This is where many of us heard so many fantastic bands in the 90s like; Alice In Chains, STP, Pearl Jam, Bush, RHCP, Live and Foo Fighters. R.I.P. 89X! I have to agree with all of you about another CHR/Country station coming to the...

Re: CD 102.5 Columbus

Urban One’s Radio-One has announced it has begun operating 102.5 WWCD Baltimore/Columbus OH via LMA and has launched Regional Mexican “La Grande 102.5“ from radioinsight.com.
IMO would’ve been nice for the Columbus area to see a classic country station hit the airwaves.
