Re: Ron Cameron

Finally got to listen today. First time in many years. The train has stayed on the track. (I am kind of disappointed). Boring listen today. I’ll have to checkout that podcast link up above. Ron sure likes to dish the dirt. Sure lets you know who he likes or dislikes. Did he just imply that Page is i...

Re: 97.1 The Ticket Re-Names Studio for Jamie Samuelsen

This is a nice honor for a great guy. Better than having “from the (fill in the law firm name) studio”. But I don’t really consider him as an icon in local broadcasting lore.

Re: Ron Cameron

Wtfdetroit - thanks for posting that info, have not listened to the train wreck in quite awhile. Gonna try to remember to catch it Friday.

Momo - liked that Waldorf Astoria reference. Still chuckling about that.

How about 3G!? Whats he up to now?
I always thought Henson came off as a jerk on J & G . I would never listen to him if he came back.

Re: 97.1

I don’t see anyone on the station roster that would fit. They need to bring in new talent. Don’t care for Stoney in the morning shift.

Re: 97.1

what do you guys think they do going forward with the morning show Morning drive needs someone that has real talent. Jamie and Mike are/were the cream of the crop there. I'd say maybe Doug Karsch is next best so maybe him? Karsch was saying on Monday basically he could not do mornings because he wo...

Re: Ron Cameron

Does anyone else here think Ron could be kind of oblivious to the current world situation? Maybe doesn’t keep a social distance. Wonders why his favorite restaurants seem to all be closed. Can’t find the scores to last nights games.

Re: 50 Michigan movies

There should be some mention of all those old crime movies that reference Detroit. You know, the ones where Lefty just got in from Detroit, or the Big Guy just moved his operations to Detroit. Those movies say something about Detroit in the 1940s and 1950s. Lefty probably a brother of Mack The Knife.

In reference to Oldies 84 song of the day, Telestar: that was the first song by a British “band” to reach #1 in the USA. Three other “solo” acts had done it previously.
