Re: Personal political opinions on news folks' Facebook pages

HL101: your comments have nothing to do with the post's focus (Personal political opinions on news folks' Facebook page).

Just trying to be helpful...

Re: Breaking: Meredith to possibly exit the TV business

Doubt Sinclair or Gray would be eligible to keep TV5 due to their current ownership. It would likely be challenged by the FCC.

Who's Skippy?

And, Dad, I'm confused by your latest post. Am I to believe your numerous previous posts that all police officers are bad... except Flint Police Chief Timothy Johnson?

Not lookin' good for you in this argument!!!

Re: The most viral video now? MLive!

HL101 -- you're my papa! Stop denying it. All I seek is your love. Why are you denying you're true feelings?

Re: The most viral video now? MLive!

HL101: your ramblings make even less sense than usual. Guess you have missed the 20+ times Councilman Mays has been "escorted" from city council meetings for -- as you would describe it -- "exercising his free speech." Being a jerk sometimes means you're just a jerk... something not necessarily cove...

Re: The most viral video now? MLive!

Let me give you a quick lesson in First Amendment law: employers can place restrictions on speech. You can be fired or face discipline for verbally attacking your coworkers, for example. The Flint City Council can vote as it see fits if fellow council members believe Eric Mays stepped over the line....

Re: Murrow Awards

HL101: must be pretty lonely in your negative all the time world. Next time you might want to try a more positive approach and recognize some of the great work your broadcast colleagues are doing. I doubt that you're up to the challenge since trolls gotta troll.

Re: The most viral video now? MLive!

HL101: learn how to read. I didn't say Mays actions were illegal. I said his actions should face discipline. He has the right to criticize, but should do it in a professional manner. He chose to verbally attack a member of the media instead. Not cool. And I love how you sidestep the lack of reportin...

Re: The most viral video now? MLive!

HL101: bashing your former employer again. Very predictable. I'm going to take a slightly different approach. Why didn't 12 and 5 do a story on this? It's absolutely ridiculous that an elected official get away with verbally attacking a member of the media. The other stations should also highlight t...

Lulli 2, WNEM 0

Good for former TV5 reporter Nick Lulli who stuck to his guns and won a lawsuit versus parent company Meredith Broadcasting. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2019/4/12/meredith-drops-lawsuit-against-reporter I never understood why WNEM would sue a reporter who did not want to work there. Non-compet...

New ABC12 Morning Anchor

Who's the new guy who replaced Larry Elliott on WJRT's morning newscast? IMO, he's underwhelming... just another boring white guy (this assessment coming from a fellow boring white guy.) I'm surprised Veto-Hodak didn't go in a different direction: like make an all female anchor team (beating 5 at it...
