Re: AM Radio 2020
Can't recall the frequency or call letters, but I do remember pulling in some AM station from Alabama up in Cheboygan on a clear summer nights. Some oldies station. The local AM 1240 WCBY would typically be picked up through phone lines. The occasional times my dad would do computer updates at night...

Re: Old cable lineups
Here's a 1980 Cheboygan listing from americanradiohistory.com : 2 - CJIC 5 - WTOM 9 - WWUP WGTU, WJRT and WKBD were also carried, as was one of those old-timey real-time weather camera channels that were commonplace on 1970's cable systems. This system only carried a total of seven channels, which ...

Thanks for uploading! Although I'm surprised it was only a half-hour long.

Re: Old School 7&4, 29&8, WFRV/WJMN, WLUK
Milk, this stuff all comes from my tape archives. I have the 7&4 and the 9&10(&13) 50th Anniversary specials on hand. I wish the station I've been associated with, WFRV, did a 50th special, but...that would begin with WNAM-TV going dark and the failure of many UHF stations in the 1950s. Anyhow, PM ...

I remember that also. Right after Tim NixonMWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 1:32 pm
For a time, he also did a late morning shift on Lite 96 following his morning show on KHQ. I am unsure how long that lasted.

Re: Format change at 101.5 Manistee (recreation of lost thread)
I've been monitoring the new 101.5 overnights over the past couple of days and have to say I think they're really on to something. My audiophile ears give two thumbs up to the processing they're using, and the playlist is an engaging mix of mostly '80s hits with some older and more modern material ...
