It should only be fitting that today it was announced the Pizza Cat Max location in downtown Detroit, a former advertiser on SportsTalk, is closing down. We all know “it (was) quite a place, you really gotta go there”…but not enough to dent that rent down there!

Kinda funny, I have a few random alerts set on my phone that were used through the years to remind me to listen to SportsTalk, never deleted most of them but due to Ron’s transient nature, they seem to pop at different times on the weekend!

I know we're all familiar with Ron's nomadic lifestyle, living in motels and all for most of his adult life. But I don't remember any mention of any remaining family or relatives in his life. Does anyone know if there was anyone at all there for him at the end? Sad to think that he was really a "on...

With the passing of Ron the longest running thread on the buzzboard will soon (sadly) be coming to an end.I believe after the tribute show it would only be fitting if Bobbert and Momo have the last two posts.The thread should then be locked.

Y’all did a great job. I feel a lot of us needed this show today to laugh and remember. Definitely the end of an era. All these other sports talkers in this town are BORING.
