Re: N. Michigan 2012 Format Questions

If you need any more, let me know. I started airchecking in 1987 and all are in mp3 format. The early years were originally done on cassette and all have been converted. During those years I had access to a cottage on Torch Lake, and have that area well covered.

Re: N. Michigan 2012 Format Questions

Going through my airchecks I have WLDR and WCCW, but not the date of your bandscan. Both were recorded on 5/28/12. If interested in listening to these, message me.

WLDR: 'Sunny Country 1O1.9'
WCCW: 'Classic hits 1O7 5 FM WCCW...' beginning of TOH ID

I hope this helps.

Re: Corona Hype

I stopped by the DG in Leslie (next town north of Jackson off Us-127) and they were putting out TP that had just came in. It was mostly Angel Soft and DG brand...no Charmin or Northern.

A lot of 36-roll packages were being snatched up.

Re: Wifi Slow Down Due To Increased Home Use

You can't blame it all on the kids. There are many people working at home (me for one) and doing a VPN along with a RDP to the work PC is consuming a lot of bandwidth. My home network traffic lights are on solid rather than the usual blinking.

Re: Corona Hype

Woho, try Dollar General. I have seen some in a couple of stores in the Jackson area. It's usually the DG brand and probably feels like sandpaper, but at least it's TP.

Re: Thoughts about work amid Covid-19 crisis

TheForce, any thoughts about taking college classes? At a local community college you could take a class or two at a time instead of a full load. Having some college will give you an advantage over someone who doesn't in the job market. If you have an interest in a trade, some schools do certificati...

Re: Outa Here

I'm with Turkeytop on this one as the store is at fault here. It's all about customer service. The cashier should have called/paged bakery to come up rather than send the customer back. The cashier should not leave her register since she is responsible for it. As a customer, I would not want to walk...

Re: Coronavirus Playlist

Need some Beatles tunes here: Dr. Robert Nowhere Man You could alternate Yesterday and Tomorrow Never Knows. And of course, Polythene Pam, "dressed in her polythene bag." Yeah, I figured I missed some. A couple more I thought of on the drive home (which has been nice this week with less traffic to ...

Re: A town for TurkeyTop!

Where is US-16 and M-78, Calvert? Grand River Ave. and Saginaw St., near Frandor? I have maps from the 1960s, but I'd have to find them. US-16 was decommissioned before my time on Earth and I remember M-78 before it became Temp I-69 through that area in 1974. On the eastern side it would be Saginaw...

Re: Vintage West Michigan TV / Radio Merch

I've been scouring for any old West Michigan radio / TV promotional items and merchandise, particularly i-96, B-93, and WOOD, though I'm looking for everything. Does anyone have anything they want to show off, or has anyone ever come across anything at thrift stores or garage sales in the area? Tha...

Re: Car buying aggravation

Vic, wow, sorry to hear about the problems with the Outback. Between my wife and me, we own 3 Subarus: 2004 WRX (just rolled 556K this morning), 2006 Baja, and a 2015 Legacy. The WRX I bought new and have had it almost 17 years. It still has the original engine and exhaust system. I recently spent o...
