I can hear The Pointer Sister's "Neutron Dance" just looking at that picture.

Doesn't Walmart Radio have a link that you can listen to at home, at least?

Re: CW 50 to ditch The CW, return to independence
...WWJ should make an offer to WHNE to swap virtual channel numbers. I don't believe your last suggestion is even permissible under FCC rules. Agreed. With few exceptions, a station's PSIP must match either its current broadcasting channel (WHNE's is "3", which is the same as its broadcasting chann...

Re: Sinclair’s Sports Channels Prepare Bankruptcy, Putting Team Payments at Risk
You also claim that when ATSC 3.0 happens that 25-66-46 will be in a strong position. If that were to be the case, then eliminating the station’s localism makes no sense. You’d want to do the exact opposite. Sinclair's role in ATSC 3.0 right now in Mid-Michigan is merely lending broadcasting space ...

Re: Sinclair’s Sports Channels Prepare Bankruptcy, Putting Team Payments at Risk
The excessive amount of news at 25/66 was dropped because it was not turning a profit. Simple as that. It's also due to the fact that viewers that watched 5 or 12 remained allegient to them. 25 has always been viewed all its life as an "also ran" that always tried hard, but still ended up being ign...

Re: Sinclair’s Sports Channels Prepare Bankruptcy, Putting Team Payments at Risk
Unfortunately that will probably mean even more hardship for Sinclair run local news stations that will have to “pay” for the financial mismanagement of the Bally Sports RSNs. Meaning that we'll be seeing even more Sinclair stations, perhaps even those not lowly-rated, see their news departments gi...

Re: Could AM800 simulcast on 88.7???
Corus is doing just that in Calgary, with CHQR AM 770 now rebroadcasted on CFGQ-FM 107.3, with its news-talk format. Introduced in January without CRTC approval, Corus made the formal application to them this week, though now making CHQR a rebroadcaster of CFGQ.

Maybe it's time to bring them back to monitor the station? This corporate "set it and forget it" approach very rarely works.

Re: WLEN Adrian
I notice WLEN is now streaming... I'll have to listen on Fridays to hear a wide variety as it's hard to hear in Toledo. Considering that you have 103.7 and 104.1, plus possible additional interference from Windsor's CJBC-FM translator on 103.9, it would be difficult tuning in to WLEN close to Lake ...

Re: Hilarious House Of Frightenstein
Does anyone remember seeing The Hilarious House Of Frightenstein on Detroit TV? It might have been on Old 62 but I’m not sure? It went into syndication in the US around 1973 or 1974. Don't know when or if it appeared in the Detroit / Windsor area (then-WGPR didn't sign on until 1975). I wouldn't be...

Re: 107.7 KWXS dumps CHR For Standards
Most listeners who are in the target demo stream or download... The CHR/Top 40 format just isn't what is was 20 years ago and many years before that. That, and the national broadcasters care more about cutting staff, cramming more commercials in, and promoting music the consultants feel the listene...

Pastor Stephen Boissoin had written a letter to the editor of the Red Deer Advocate in 2002, expressing his Biblical beliefs about the homosexual lifestyle. After reading the letter as published in the Advocate, Dr. Darren Lund, a professor at the University of Calgary, filed a complaint with the A...
