Re: Does anyone have a polka show in Detroit?

Wyandotte Connex channel 15 still runs an old polka show a couple times a day. Newest episodes of that show appear to be from about 2005.

WXYZ preempts part of MLB playoff game

According to someone on the 506 Sports Discord, WXYZ did not air the 3 PM hour of ABC's MLB playoff game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Saint Louis Cardinals, preempting it for a couple of infomercials. I am shocked WXYZ decided to do this, but if this was for make-goods reasons I wouldn't be...

They sure did. For a spell in the 00s, as I recall.
Yep, from 2002-08.

It was pre-empted in Houston, none-too-coincidentally from a Graham station as well.
The only other NBC affiliate in the Graham family is WSLS in Roanoke, Virginia -- don't know if they carried the game or axed it for infomercials like the others.
WSLS did air the game.

Re: WDIV Local 4 preempting MLB on NBC this Sunday

Sister station KPRC in Houston also preempted the game to show infomercials.

Re: Metro Detroit cable lineups, April/May 1994

No Flint channels, other than WFUM, on the cable system in Fenton?!! That surprises me. Also surprised to see WTVG and WTOL unavailable on cable in Monroe. "Lineups are incomplete in order to fit into the sizes of the TV Books, so some certain cable networks, as well as out-of-market stations, have...

W30EX-D is one of numerous stations that Lowcountry 34 will be forced to relinquish after receiving a $250,000 fine.

WBKB adds NBC

As of yesterday, WBKB's 11.2 subchannel switched from Fox/MNTV to NBC, with Fox/MNTV moving to a newly-created 11.4 subchannel. Not only does this give Alpena a complete set of network affiliates, but this also gives NBC the distinction of being the first network in television history to gain affili...

Re: WJMN dumping CBS?

Another theory: CBS was fed up with the excessive airtime of commercials for the numerous regular/Native American casinos across the UP and northern Wisconsin, on top of the numerous online casino and sports betting ads that also air on every other station in Michigan, during local time during CBS S...

Re: WJMN dumping CBS?

Two things baffle me about this: 1., by how sudden this situation is, and 2., why didn't WZMQ put CBS on the main channel and instead continue running Me TV on 19.1.

Receiving the following in Wyandotte with an Antennas Direct C2Max right now:

22 CIII Stevenson is coming in.
36 WUPW Toledo seems to be sending a little signal strength.

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?

When they bring back news, is it going to be just evening (6 and 11 pm), or will they also have morning news as well? They could do both. I believe they might start out with just 6 and 11. Some additional proof: 62 cut out one of the Family Feud airings at noon (to make room for 25 Words or Less, d...

W30EX-D

A while back this station, RF channel 29, popped up on RabbitEars.info's TV market listings for Detroit. It's licensed to Lima, Ohio...but when browsing W30EX-D's technical info, its transmitter is currently located at Gady Road and Green Highway in Lenawee County, halfway between Adrian and Tecumse...

Re: WADL lands My Network TV

To coincide with the "affiliation" swap, WADL also launched a new website. Amusingly, they have a section on analog TV that describes it as what "most current television transmissions" are received as, as if it were still 2005.
