couldn't they get an LMA on 107.5 FM? that would decently cover the Metro area... I thought Urban One is looking to pull out from running that one...

Re: Why is Sanilac part of the Detroit DMA?
there are some community-owned translators in remote areas (mostly in the rockies and great plains) for that exact reason.. they get a contract to partner up with stations to get permission to repeat their signals.... i can see it working in Bad Axe and the Thumb region.

Re: Why is Sanilac part of the Detroit DMA?
Yeah. back when i was younger (1990s), I'd be watching Fox 2 or Local 4 or Channel 7... and whenever there were bad storms rolling in, they'd have the DMA overlay with watches/warnings and occasionally a radar loop (later on in the 1990s) and towards the bottom: three counties in the bottom two rows...

Re: Why is Sanilac part of the Detroit DMA?
I think Sanilac was swapped-in to replace Jackson and Hillsdale Counties around 1998 in an attempt to keep Detroit in the top 10 DMAs list... all that did was delay the inevitable by about 5 years.

Re: New channel frquencies
I was FINALLY able to briefly pick up TVO and Global with my rooftop antenna... and it was NOT easy! All that co-channel interference made me work for it. :P TVO has a virtual channel of 19.1 now. Global's is still 22.1, despite moving to UHF 33. I was also able to tune in to WDWO-CD as well.... ver...

Re: I now know your pain...

Re: Helping someone get WJBK OTA in SW Wyandotte

WJBK (Fox 2) is actually on VHF 7... so there's not a whole lot of difference between the two channels in terms of frequency... let me just see if...
