Re: WHNE channel 14

Is there a way to do it without scanning? I’d find TV DXing much more appealing if I didnt have to rescan every time I do it. You could dial in RF channel numbers followed by a 0 (like 16.0 if you hope to see CHWI) but scanning usually is quicker You could also just punch in the RF number and nothi...

Re: Towns that should be in other DMAs

Here's a couple more examples: In Ohio, eastern Ashtabula County should move to the Erie DMA (as most of the county is closer to Erie than Cleveland), it is only quite obviously in the Cleveland DMA because Ashtabula County contains Geneva and Geneva-On-The-Lake, two sorta extreme outer outburbs of ...

Re: Cable systems that do not carry all network affiliates from their home DMA

Comcast in Holly was also counted as one such system between 2006 and 2011. In 2006, as it was connected to a headend in Flint, it had to drop WDIV in order to increase viewership for WEYI. In 2011, when Holly got it's own headened, WEYI was in turn dropped-to bring back WDIV.

Re: Old cable lineups

Another cable lineup from Wyandotte's system, this one over two years later from my previous post on this system. This was their first lineup after the city-wide rebuild and channel realignment. At the time, it was a big deal in Wyandotte since that meant that I was finally going to get additional c...

Towns that should be in other DMAs

There were two similar, previous threads on towns that should be in Lansing's small and narrow DMA, but both threads have been deleted for different reasons. I'll try this again, but on a more general note. Three should be the three Monroe County townships (Erie, Bedford and Whiteford) that border O...

Cable systems that do not carry all network affiliates from their home DMA

Another recreation of a thread lost to the crash which was luckily backed up on Radio Discussions . Here's what I said in the first post of the original thread: This thread, as the title says, is specifically about any cable system, even MATV ones that only serve one particular building, that does n...

2018-2019 Pistons

Since my previous thread on this season's Pistons was lost in the October crash, here's a remake. We are almost two months into this season and the Pistons are continuing to solidify a bit. This was highlighted by last night's win over the defending champions the Warriors. At 13-7, they are looking ...

Re: WHNE channel 14

RabbitEars currently only shows up to 14.12, but I wonder if they actually even have equipment to run 24 subchannels.

Re: WNWO (NBC 24 Toledo) on RF 23

i can't pick it up at all... probably co-channel interference from WUDT here... It appears WNWO has at least temporarily lost a lot of it's over-the-air viewership north of Monroe. Granted, WNWO had already lost a lot of Wayne County viewers when NBC 24 was evicted from TCI in Gibraltar and Woodhav...

You confused things there...WOIO was and is the Cleveland CBS affiliate by that point.

Re: WNWO (NBC 24 Toledo) on RF 23

WNWO has just signed off their RF 49 signal in a less-than-stellar fashion...right in the middle of a commercial for a local vape shop.

Re: New News Channel coming to WHNE 14.9

I have an antenna in attic and have no problem whatsoever, the problem is the TV station it’s a low power station and just naturally is limited to a small footprint for coverage area my question is why so many subs even full power stations don’t have 9 subs. And then you have to remember that there...
