Re: Your Very First

I'd completely forgotten about the "spoken word" genre. :red My very first purchase in that area was a box collection of three cassette albums called The Jack Kerouac Collection . Included are: Poetry for the Beat Generation Blues and Haikus Readings by Jack Kerouac on the Beat Generation I had foun...

Re: Detroit Tigers 2022

With the way our guys are falling (Skubal being the latest) we may be fielding a genuine AAA team before it's all over. :rolleyes I can't remember a time when an entire starting rotation was hurt.

Re: Dumb & Misheard Song Lyrics

:lol Yes!

If you want dumb lyrics, listen to anything by the currently popular Wet Leg, originating from the Isle of Wight and fronted by two females who have no inhibitions in their musical pursuit of F-U-N fun. But I'll be damned if their tunes aren't catchy as all hell! :8) I like 'em.

Re: Detroit Pistons 2021/22

If the Pistons draft Holmgren of Gonzaga we may finally get the height and rim protection the team's been lacking; he can also hit from outside. His reedy build is rightly a concern. Right now, there seems to be a lot of interchangeable parts on the team. I'm not sure if Smith or Banchero would add...

Didn't the Tigers have a very bad stretch in May last year, too?
April was especially brutal last year, but May saw them play .500 ball. In fact, they were close to .500 the remainder of the season.

Re: Detroit Tigers 2022

We lost another starter as Pineda broke the middle finger of his right pitching hand. :rolleyes That's FOUR starting pitchers we've lost after only a month-and-a-half! Our once league-leading bullpen can only go so far.

Panhandlers don't want to make 40K a year. That would put them in a higher tax bracket.

Re: Detroit Tigers 2022

It looks like we've got another bad team, after losing 4 of 5 home games to a team with a losing record. This year looks like a development year for the youngest hitters and pitchers (Torkelson, Greene, Kreidler, Briese, Faedo, Wentz). Another goal would be for the more experienced young pitchers (...

Re: Detroit Tigers 2022

Ya think the Tigers are coming out of their offensive funk, scoring six runs in the opener of a double-header, then they almost get shut out ONCE AGAIN in the nightcap. :rolleyes

I'm not sure I can handle Baez swinging at pitches a mile wide for six years. >:

I was a big fan, or I should say a "little" fan standing next to him when I saw him and the rest of the Pistons at Metro Airport. He was graciously signing autographs for the plethora of fans who gathered around him. I had nothing for him to sign. Besides, I was too cool for such things. :razz I was...
