Is FRS a real thing? Is there a practical use for it, or is it just a plaything for kids?

Re: Trump privately supporting 16 week abortion ban

Just for the record, if anyone is interested, I'm opposed to abortion on moral grounds. If the woman was someone in my life,, I would try to talk her out of it. But, in the end, it's a decision to be made by the woman and her Doctor. Neither I, nor the state, has the right to impose my morality on o...

Re: KKFI Announcer Dies in Mass Shooting

About those drunk drivers. They kill over 13 thousand a year. Maybe it's time to outlaw all booze products. "According to the NHTSA, drunk driving kills 37 people every single day in the United States. About 31 percent of all traffic fatalities nationwide involve drunk drivers." Alcohol is more str...

New Policy Study applies results of the late-2023 Heartland/Rasmussen poll which found more than one-in-four mail-in voters admitted to committing at least one kind of election fraud. Under multiple scenarios, with differing rates of mail-in voter fraud taken into account, our results indicate that...

In Ontario, anyone can opt out of Union membership, but they're still required to pay dues and the Union is required to represent the person

But they don't get a Union card and they can'r participate in the Union. They can't attend meetings or vote in Union elections.

Re: Right to work ends Tuesday (13th)

My union dues are the best money I spend and it's about the cheapest regular bill that I have. No freeloading, pay your dues. You're absolutely right. My Union dues were the best investment I ever made. I recoverd every nickel of it in Pension benefits during the first six months of my retirement.

I've played that since I was a kid. But it seems it started getting called Cornhole only in the last 10 or 15 years. I think we called it Beanbag. The boards were all homemade back then. Never seen anyone selling them at flea markets or craft shows like now. Perhaps they felt that beanbagging neede...

Cornhole

So, they're playing a game here now they call cornhole. I'm old enough to remember when cornhole was a vulgar term. If you had asked some guy to play cornhole you might have got a punch in the mouth.

Now, it seems, it's a legitimate sport. How long until we see it in the Olympics?
