Re: Gary Busey hits car

I'm surprised he's even able to drive. Busey's been messed up for years, ever since he fractured his skull causing brain damage.

Re: Any of you GOPers wanna defend Tommy Tuberville?

I don't understand it either. Tuberville doesn't have any minority leadership roles in Congress, and also, the Dems have a Senate majority, so I don't know how Tuberville, who's only been in the Senate since 2021, has this much power.

Re: Jimmy Buffett has died

I've seen many great performers live, but Jimmy was always one of those who had so much fun and passion on stage. Even at his last show in July, he was still having fun and cracking jokes on stage.

Re: Gary Wright

Saw Gary in 2016 with Al Stewart at the Kent Stage in Kent, Ohio. I got to meet him afterward. He was nice. He was actually a great blues rock musician that might be better than the Dream Weaver album.

Re: Q105 rebrands to a 90's and 2000's format

It's not quite the River as it contains some hip hop and some harder rock like Linkin Park. Yes, Party debuted the Tuesday after Labor Day last year. The way the imaging implies, I'm thinking this is a format shift. Their sister station in Dallas pulled a similar move earlier this year. To be honest...

Re: Smash Mouth Steve Harwell dies

Sad to see another music legend gone. If you grew up in the 90's and 2000's, Smash Mouth was everywhere, movies, TV shows, and commercials. I know Harwell wasn't doing great after that erratic concert 2 years ago. May he R.I.P.

Tirico is now the lead PXP for Sunday Night Football, taking over the role held by Al Michaels, who now does TNF on Prime Video, so that's why he's not on any ND games anymore.

Re: WEYI hubbing weather from WWMT?

I get the feeling anyone can be a meteorologist for a Sinclair station anyway. All you have to do is deny the science and blame the LGBTQ+ community for any bad weather that pops up. I still remember at least a couple of instances last year in which the weather girls mentioned that they would be pa...

Re: Rat's foot found in soup

OG is pretty good in TC. I'm not gonna trash-talk any restaurant based on this story. One of my fave IT restaurants back when I traveled for work often was Spaghetti Warehouse in Akron, OH. 15-layer lasagna was a food coma delight! It's been quite a while since I've been, but glad to see that they ...

Re: Jimmy Buffett has died

This is one of those celebrity deaths I'm crying over. Jimmy was my favorite artist, going all the way back to birth. I saw him just once live, on the Detroit River in 2015. His live shows were energetic and passionate, and he's the big reason why I love tropical islands and frozen drinks. I knew he...

Re: August 16-22 Tropo Summary

Speaking of TV tropo, I miss being able to simply turn the VHF and UHF dials on my old tv w/rabbit ears during a tropo event (I was young and had no idea what tropo even was) and pick up stations on nearly every frequency. Strangest reception I ever remember had to be in the early or mid 1990s, I r...

Q105 rebrands to a 90's and 2000's format

It looks like Q105 has flipped slightly to a more gold based format, playing mainly the hits of the 90's and 2000's, although some of today's hits are sprinkled in for good measure. This is different from when Q105 started where it was mainly a CHR with an occasional retro song, and a two hour show ...

No fan of Mitch, but I wish him the best of health. If its indeed TIA'S, he's at a higher chance of having a major stroke in the future. He really needs to step down from his Senate Minority Leader role.

Re: Fake Wheels still sucks

The past few times a 2nd country station came to the Detroit market, the ratings were mainly not anywhere close to what WYCD had. I don't think iHeart should try again now. Based on IHR's track record, they shouldn't try again ever! Hate to admit it, but I'm old enough to remember a time when we ha...
