Re: Where’s Ben Bailey? Still on the bench?

CBS has a very strict vaccine mandate, I had to provide proof of full vaccination and booster shot just to work next Saturday's Michigan/MSU game. So if Ben really quit 4 over the vaccination mandate then he will have to get jabbed to work for 62 and pretty much every other major broadcast company....

Re: Broadway departs the New Country 93.1 dumpster fire

Your political views are what they are but they're irrelevant to the discussion of the business of radio. Why flip a 1.6 share station to a simulcast? Money. Ratings are more or less meaningless in WJR's case. They bill millions. Not sure who bills more, WJR or WWJ. Maybe MW would have that stat. T...

Re: Broadway departs the New Country 93.1 dumpster fire

They'll be WJR-FM by Labor Day at the very latest. I suspect sooner. Book it.
why would they do that? the station gets dismal rating as it is.

I would think low rated country would bill more than Mark Levin spouting his nightly crap

[quoteDidn't some former WJLB personalities mention they had purchased a station? We never quite got to the bottom of what they bought or if it's just an LMA.][/quote] I head that Charles Pugh may be a part of this as it was brought up by a report that he was getting out of jail this weekend the rep...

I will also compliment the operation for devoting a full time reporter to state government. That's something the Big Three each should've done eons ago
Isn't that what Tim Skubick is doing on Fox 2?

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?

Post on CBS' website CBS News Detroit is currently expected to launch in the late summer or early fall of 2022. It will feature a 24/7 streaming service with live local news coverage from 4:00 AM to 11:35 PM, Monday-Sunday, for a total of 137 hours per week. In addition, CBS 62 will broadcast live C...

Could Alt 98.7 move to WWJ Simulcast?

Re: WCSX

I think, other than the fact it's STP, it's a little heavier of a song than the other 90s selections they've started playing. Under the Bridge and 1979 were a little softer and slower of songs, whereas Plush is maybe a little harder. Plush is on the boarder of Elevator Music at this point. there is...

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?

What are the odds that one or all three of Stephen Clark, Frank Turner or Guy Gordon end up anchoring one of the newscasts? Frank Turner would be the only one. Clark is done and walked away from WOMC, I would think he could work anywhere if he wanted to but is likely done with the business entirely...

Cord cutters might find this a refreshing alternative. now that newsy is on as well, this might be a good alternative to cable
I love my antenna there are so many choices now with sub-channels. give it time and it might work out

Kelly Brown in on 107.1 Ann Arbor she still sounds good, Zac was on 93.9 she would be good
Christina would be excellent or even Greg Gnuyp could be fun at night
the jocks being Canadian isn't an issue. Mike Harrison did 96.3 for a couple of years

Re: Hmmm,is the news drought at CBS62 about to come to an end?

I've seen Stacy Duford doing the weather a couple of times so she is on the payroll in some capacity. not sure what her role would be though there are plenty of displaced news people on the bench if they wanted to spend the money on good team to get it going. after the departure of Stephen Clark I c...
