Re: The Blarney Stone Broadcasting Legacy
Many Classic Classic Rock tracks (circa 1970s) are a legend in listeners' minds. They ask me how high they charted and I say it didn't, or #96 Hot 100, or it was just an album track, or B side. They say "that was a hit, man". Classic rock has it's own rules for what is in their playlists, evidently...

I'm still kicking...
It's been a while since I posted here, but I'm still vertical. We've had a really rough couple months. First, I had a CT scan of my lungs, where non-alcoholic cirrohsis of the liver was discovered. I figure it had to be from the statins I was on until 2014, which did much damage to my joints and mus...

Re: Comcast Removing Detroit and Lansing Channels
We removed Comcrap. We're stuck with Direct now, which will also be "removed" as soon as the contract expires. They're even worse than Comcrap, and we'll never go back to them. I guess we go offline. I'm sick of having no choice between greedy, stupid companies.

Re: Shortwave pirate stations
Of the many reception reports I've received from my show being broadcast via pirate shortwave, I recently received the very nice report below. THIS is how I have always done reports, I'm glad to see someone else still bothers to provide details like this, including an attached MP3 file recorded off ...

I can tell you this, the weekend of the flare was downright awful on HF bands. And what a mess the HF Hurricane Watch Net had to deal with.

Re: Scam Alert
These idiots with the "free grants" scam are especially a bunch of assholes. They have called us every 5 minutes for hours some days. Also, I do not do credit cards, period. I'm laughing every time I get a call from one of these "representatives" telling me there has been "fraudulent activity" on my...

Re: Scam Alert
I treat everything as a scam unless proven otherwise nowdays. I'm generally right the first time. And the best thing is to simply NOT answer these calls. They will eventually stop calling then.

I had a Blazer I put a Radio Shaft C-QuAM stereo in when I worked at SAM in the 80's. Loved that radio.

Re: KFOG Bites The Dust
I had (maybe still do) some cassettes from early in KFOG's rock years in the 80's. I loved their approach to music and not just playing whatever the charts dictated at the time. You hardly heard any rock that made Top100 charts, for instance, and a lot of gold that never gets played nowdays. That wa...
