30's and 60's still the industry standard in radio?

Am I out of touch with commercial length standardization? There is a station who sometimes produces spots that cross my desk that are 33, 47, 54... seconds. Are they NOT teaching their rookies that the industry standard is 30 and 60 seconds? Am I being picky? I have to edit probably 80-90% of their ...

Any links to view it? Or will it just fade?
You really don’t want to see it as it’s such a farce.
Lol....I saw it that night and couldn't believe it, so I wasn't really sure 100% what I saw 😆

Re: WLLZ isn't going to change, WIDL is where it's at

Is that the former "Ideal Radio" in Caro, MI (104.9 FM which changed to 92.1 FM)??? Heard WIDL for the first time back in December of 1980!! That station had to let go at 1:15 AM to conclude the programming in 1981 & 1982. The Stooges (with Iggy Pop) song "We Will Fall" (from their 1969 debut) has ...

Re: WLLZ isn't going to change, WIDL is where it's at

WIDL is the best classic rock station i have heard! Thanks Bob. I have been streaming all day long for a week now. I swear i hadn't heard a repeated song in 4 plus days. Unheard of! Thanks! We try. It'll take about 5-7 days before you hear a repeat. I wish it were longer. Plus, you're probably hear...

Re: Detroit Rock Radio Is Dead (mostly)

What? You mean that you don't want to hear Turn the Page or Walk this Way just one more time? Shame on you! Why would you not want to listen to stations (WCSX and WOMC I am talking to you) that only play 400+- songs over and over again for decades. The real wonder here is that anyone still listens ...

Re: Rock Radio Is Dead (At Least For Me)

If any rock radio executives are seeing this, please take note. Rock radio is largely dead to me. The reason is simple. They play very little of what I like and I feel like they are missing the boat with the GenX demographic. Bands I grew up listening to just aren't played on rock radio in a regula...

Re: The New K107.3 Flint's Classic Hits

The funniest part to me: "There are so many great artists that other stations had left behind"...no......there are so many great SONGS left behind. To even believe that a cumulus station would do anything but drive the same tired tracks into the ground is a joke.

To me it seems like a 120 min infomercial. What happened to the moment of calm? Ha That was kinda relaxing.
They should do a feature on john Gross' eyebrows. 😂

Re: TV5 and Local Steals & Deals

Yeah, I know how it works. I'm sure all Meredith stations are running it. I was just being snarky.

The funniest thing is the lack of conscience shown by the station and the titling of the promo. Smdh.

TV5 and Local Steals & Deals

Am I the only one missing what's "Local" about these "Steals & Deals"? Seems they're not local products, nor are they sold at local businesses.

Did I not see something?
