Re: WUDT 23

The FCC has granted WNWO full license to fire up their 275kW transmitter on RF23.

Move it or lose it, WUDT.

It’s religious crap, anyway.

Good thing our blaring phones alerted us.....
That “feature” can be shut off. I shut it off a few years back when we all were woke up at 4AM by an alert over a custody snit by two derelict parents.

No power boost yet. Sinclair incompetence at work, again.

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

We get daily emails, phone calls, and social media comments from viewers calling us biased. And then our company only reinforces it by airing this town hall filled with softball questions hosted by a partisan hack. Decided to get some late local news last night after the game on 25. First five minu...

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

Ypsi Guy agreed .. as for toledo here is a little comedic opinion of how sinclair treated 'NWO Sinclair: "We will spend a ton of money to upgrade the station and improve WNWO 24 NEWS, we believe in the product" WNWO: YAYYYYYY!! months later.... Sinclair: We will be gutting the news department and m...

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

Sinclair is clearly trying to “Swift Boat” Biden by using a Fox network flunkee to moderate this faux town hall. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2020/10/19/back-to-2004-for-sinclair-broadcasting And if Bolling can’t get basic facts right, he and his Executive Producer should be fired... otherwise...

Re: Scripps buying ION Media

I believe I read these stations will stay as ION affiliates and also air Scripps’s package of digital subchannels. Since GRIT is a Scripps subchannel, I am betting it will leave WADL and move to WPXD. One article mentioned they will move their subchannels to the ION stations for cost savings. With W...

Re: WUDT 23

WNWO is fully licensed now on a new transmitter at 275kW. It’s a directional, much like WUPW. I would assume they are still working on the equipment since I haven’t seen the signal boost yet.

I haven’t seen the signal boost yet. They are licensed for it now with the FCC. I would guess they are still working on the equipment/transmitter.

Re: How bad are Sinclair’s Michigan TV stations?

I see news out of Toledo, Detroit and Tri-cities.

IMO, the best local newscast is out of WTVG Toledo ABC 13. Lee Conklin and Diane Larson are veterans to local news.

WTVG is a Gray Television O&O.

The only reason to watch a Sinclair station is for the national content.

Re: CW 46 Trump Town Hall

WBSF CW 46 would be better off as an ATSC 3.0 “lighthouse” station, ASAP.

600kW of wasted power airing the same damn channels as WEYI NBC 25. Certainly one of the dumber decisions I have seen from a broadcaster, but fully expected from the likes of Sinclair.

Re: WNWO (NBC) Toledo granted FCC license for new 275 kW DTV transmitter.

Hindsight is 20/20; WTOL and WTVG would have been better served with their old UHF CH 17 and CH19 transitional HDTV signals which had pretty decent coverage with just rabbit ears. Yes, it's nice to maintain your VHF heritage frequency that you've had since 1948/1958, but rabbit ears don't do so wel...

Re: WNWO (NBC) Toledo granted FCC license for new 275 kW DTV transmitter.

The signal will be directional; about 100 kW will be beamed in the direction of Ypsi. Little RF will be sent in azimuths ranging from 0 degrees to 100 degrees. Areas SE, S, SW, W and NW of Oregon, OH will receive generous RF. I see WTOL has an application to increase to 26 kW omni; that would resul...
