BTW, other fun things you won't hear on the big boys: Saturday at 8pm, The Arena Parking Lot (A live concert or concert album played in it's entirety), at 10pm, The Hairball John and Friends Radio Show (80's & 90's hair metal, with interviews and commentary) and on Sundays at 9am The Acoustic Storm ...

Re: 106.7 WLLZ: Detroit's Wheels (Classic Rock) is here

Didn't mean to sound like I was complaining, I actually appreciate the correction. Thank you. :) I should have put a laughing emoji on it, because I was laughing when I wrote it. I thought it was comical and seemingly appropriate that I'm trying to show people on this post that through the wonderful...

Re: 106.7 WLLZ: Detroit's Wheels (Classic Rock) is here

Great White's "Mean Mistreater", is that the remake of Grand Funk Railroad 1970 song?? It's actually just called "Mistreater" and it's a completely different song. https://youtu.be/iWUyrdBz-hk Well, I guess I finally got someone's attention. Maybe I'll go back and misspell or misname all of the son...

Re: 106.7 WLLZ: Detroit's Wheels (Classic Rock) is here

What I hope to be my parting shot on this topic, here's some of what we're playing this morning, 6-9 on WIDL. Like them or not (because you can't please everyone), they all used to be Active Rock. Little Fighter - White Lion Rumors in the Air - Night Ranger Your Time is Gonna Come - Zep Neighbor - U...

Re: 106.7 WLLZ: Detroit's Wheels (Classic Rock) is here

Try WIDL from Cass City. It addresses all that you are bitching about. stream at www.classicrocki92.com or get the WIDL Android app. You could do this, or you could continue to bitch about what they aren't doing. And yes, I work there. We love getting away from the same shit everybody plays. Sure we...

Re: Snowmageddon?

I live on a north/north south road in the middle of empty farm fields. roads are for the most part clear, because it just blew across it. I'd be surprised if we got more than 5 inches (I know, I know...that's what she said). It was cold enough the snow just kept moving, even the main state routes we...

Snowmageddon?

Was anyone NOT predicting today's ending of the world, or did all the forecasters fall in line to scare the crap out of every school and county office and wet the lips of every lawyer?

Re: WLEW on-air mispoken words

what's your main reason for listening to the radio? As I stated before, Max in Morning (5:00am to 10:00am). I like Max. Seems to be the only one with some Experience and Professionalism. After Max, it is station surfing. Gotcha....well, being in his market, I guess I'll keep working in those....all...

Re: WLEW on-air mispoken words

I listen to WLEW daily. Have been so, for 15+ yrs. Mainly for Max in the morning. I like Max. The other DJ's are more or less OK. I can stomach them. BUT......The WLEW (alleged) News is the worst you can get in Michigan. There is this nauseating old fart Craig Rhoutzan (sp) that is usually on in th...

This is funny. My favorite was when the part time news girl at WCUZ in Grand Rapids tried to do sports. She referred to it as "the N, double A, CP basketball tournament". Umm, almost.
hmmm....thought provoking....

Re: Grayling Rocker

Getting back to WIDL - if its intended audience enjoys the station, that's all that matters at the end of the day. Unpredictable stations like WIDL, M-106.3 in Greenville and Sunny 97.3 in Big Rapids are what make small town radio great! :) THIS! And I, for one, cannot wait until there are MORE loc...

Re: WLEW on-air mispoken words

Great topic. As a former professional radio broadcaster, I sure had my share of goofs. First time I came across INXS was 1984, WOOJ/Fort Myers, Florida. I pronounced it "Inks." Who knew? I'll bet. lol. not as much reference material as we have today. how'd you do with "gotye"? :blink thankfully, th...
