Re: With Disney buying Fox...

As I said before, there is a push to get cartoons back to network television. May not happen in the near future, but there’s a push, none the less. Some people seem to want to go back to the old days, lol. In all seriousness, I can see Fox starting a network talk show before having cartoons. I can s...

With Disney buying Fox...

They should revive the now defunct Fox Kids. They could have some Disney cartoons on it, as well as the Star Wars cartoon, Resistance. Instead of having it network wide, just have it on the Fox O&Os for a trial run. If it’s successful, than yes, make it network wide. I say instead of having up on Sa...

Channel 4 in the pre-WDIV days

What was the station like, when it was owned by the Detroit news? Did that station have any legendary talent, or any popular news personalities? I am asking, because the station isn’t talked about much during the WWJ days. I know there was Sonny Elliot but that’s all that I’ve heard, as far as news ...

Re: Fox 2 News: your thoughts?

They need to get rid of the Nine, and rename the show, Good Day Detroit. Bring Jason Carr back to the station and get him a co-host that’s actually articulate and isn’t showing off her boobs and legs for two hours. As for Ryan Ermanni, he’s a jerk but isn’t as bad as the likes of Sean Hannity. So g...

Re: Langton and Lue Saturday AM

I can’t stand Trump or his inarticulate speeches. His policies suck as well.

However, I don’t turn on the local news for politics. I just want the facts.

Anchors need to look pretty and keel their opinions out of it.

If people want politics, tune into Fox News or MSNBC.

Re: 7 Action News at 4pm... Buh bye to The Now

Great - more air time for the news crew rated dead last among A25-54 viewers. I will say added local news is an improvement over "The Now," however. I have two more suggestions for 7: - How about permanently ditching the motion sickness-inducing robo camera from your early morning newscasts? Holy s...

Fox 2 News: your thoughts?

Personally, I like WJBK. I think the cutting edge style of news suits the station. It’s definitely a Fox owned station as their newscasts are similar to that of Fox News Channel. Huel Perkins and Monica Gayle are the best in thy business. However, I can do without people like Jay Towers. I also thin...

Re: The Local News

National news is too biased and too liberal. That’s the issue. I believe that’s why some turn to local news. Fox 2 News Morning is all local, all morning lol.

Re: Politics on tv stations

You think that just because someone local owns the station that they are not a corporate run station? You are very naive. I don't think you understand how media works. There is NO news station that is not owned by one of the 6 owners of network television. 4 and 7 are not network owned and both del...

Politics on tv stations

For the most part, I think our local stations do a decent job of being objective and not letting politics influence how they deliver the news. Fox 2 shows a little in ‘Let it Rip,’ but even then, they let both sides give their opinion. This is a lot, coming from a Fox O&O, where the owner is ultra c...

Re: Should Detroit be home to an ABC and NBC O&O too?

A station that’s network O&O has to air the entire network’s lineup. No preemptions. 100% false. Look no further to WLS-TV Chicago regularly preempting ABC programming for Cubs baseball. There are countless other examples of network owned & operated TV stations airing alternate programming. However...
