Re: NBC Saturday Night Hockey

OOPS. You're right. I misread the SNL listed immediately following the game at 10:00.

Re: NBC Saturday Night Hockey

Seems like most Saturday nights when NBC has NHL playoffs on the main network, (not NBCSN,) SNL is a rerun. In the regular season it's not as big of an issue, because the overtime rules in the NHL are different in the regular season from playoff rules. Looking ahead to this Saturday May 4, NBC has p...

Re: Will URban expand in Toledo?

Yeah this winter Mix 95.7 seemed to have satellite issues of some sort, for the 3 syndicated shows they air. I vaguely remember that quote from Welch, though I thought he said he'd burn it down before selling specifically to Clear Channel (now iHeart.)

Re: Will URban expand in Toledo?

Yeah, 107.3's signal is great from west Toledo/Sylvania and further west, but not so much east. Not sure how eager Welch is to make any moves, selling or buying, right now. As for 95.7, they appear to have resolved their technical issues that seemed to plague them this winter.

Not sure about WWJ, but looks like WMYD is back on. Watching "Escape" on 20.3 right now.

Re: Will URban expand in Toledo?

I have no predictions as to what may or may not happen with URban in Toledo, though as an occasional listener to Mix 95.7, I would hate to see it go! In addition, there would be a lot of upset listeners to Hip-Hop and R & B radio if Toledo's 95.7, 97.3 and 107.3 were all sold. Similar to the way the...

Re: Future of "Face The Truth" and "The Doctors?"

Found the answer to my own question. Found out that Vivica A. Fox's "Face The Truth" was cancelled last week after one season. "The Doctors" has been renewed for the 2019-2020 season. Surprised that show has lasted as long as it has, though their scientific conversations/debates among the doctors an...

Re: Craig Carton

Wow, thanks for the info! I never listened to the show, but I know he had a morning show with Boomer Asiasin on WFAN in New York City. Wondered what happened to him, as it's now "Boomer and Geo" in morning drive on The Fan in New York. I think they also simulcast the show, or used to, on the CBS Spo...

Re: Newest Jeopardy! Uberchampion

James is quite good, over $800,000 as of last Friday's episode. The question is, will he finish out the season as champion? Apparently, Jeopardy's taping schedule is done, or almost done for the season. Hoping James is still on top when this season comes to an end. Ken Jennings won 74 games, would l...

Re: Network programming preemptions by individual stations

Fortunately, with streaming services, it's not as big a deal as it once was, but still something worth changing.

Re: Network programming preemptions by individual stations

Yeah, I'm sure it upset some people. Really hoping the FCC does away with these network non-duplication/syndicated exclusivity rules, soon!

Re: Network programming preemptions by individual stations

Yes it was. The cable channel which usually shows WDIV, showed two infomercials that were obviously not WDIV's. No Michigan lottery results were shown on this channel, either.

Re: Network programming preemptions by individual stations

Doubt it, guess we'll find out tonight. Fortunately, I found a way around it, using Hulu.

Re: Network programming preemptions by individual stations

Wondering if any of those stations will move Wheel and Jeopardy to a subchannel. Can't watch them on WDIV in the Toledo area because WTOL has asserted Synd-Ex rights, so Buckeye Broadband blocks WDIV in Toledo during those shows.
