Re: September radio ratings

Yeah, I think the Bounce is in some trouble. The classic hip-hop balloon in Detroit deflated more slowly than many other cities, but the general trend is once such stations begin a multi-survey decline, they seldom recover. The good news? It appears many of the people who are listening to 105.1 les...

Re: Sucking up to Megyn Kelly

I honestly think the show wasn't going to last that long. I agree that the ratings were bad and NBC was just looking for an excuse to fire her because of that.

Re: Sucking up to Megyn Kelly

I watch her third hour Today Show and you could tell it was not the right fit for her at all.

Re: September radio ratings

The Breeze is a doing a little better, and both Wheels and the Bounce have continued to go down in the ratings each month.

Re: The New Q105

Not good. Cumulus is basically trying the same approach that failed from 2012-2014 with a CHR format. The ratings were bad then, and won't change now. I think they should have went back to the formula that was popular for years prior to 2012 with a Hot AC with quite a few older songs in the rotation...

I hope it's the former too.

It's got to be very tough for all the employees at 97.1 the Ticket right now as he was their good friend and collegue. They all seemed to be very close to him.

Darryl Wood should be filling in for John McCullough on WDTK, as he did during John's previous medical leave. For the last 2 weeks, listeners have been treated to RERUNS of old McCullough shows...with the 2020 election looming. Instead of debate coverage, the McCullough Show last night featured the...

Re: Who was let go?

I will not get into a discussion of good idea / bad idea. I'm only replying to clarify details. 1) iHeart Toledo Engineering handles eight transmitters in Toledo (WIOT, WRVF, WVKS, WSPD, WCWA, WCKY, W225AM, W235BH) and one studio location. They also handle one transmitter and one studio in Napoleon...

It's a nice gesture, but a largely symbolic one.

Why not donate money to cancer research in Jamie's memory? Oh that's right - I forgot - Entercom is CHEAP.

I think donating money to a cancer resarch charity would be a great idea, but Entercom is cheap which is why it won't happen.

Hopefully it gets fixed soon. When WLEN plays music, the playlist is actually fairly unique.

Re: WLEN's Koehn Buys Crosstown WABJ/WQTE

There is no harm since no one else stepped up (or met the asking price). I’m just pointing out how this would be a monopoly. I haven’t been to Adrian in a while and none of their signals reach my area. Does WABJ have a translator? If so, I could see a format flip. I can’t imagine 100% talk off the ...

This happens quite a bit when a famous media personality retires or dies after many years at the station.

Yeah discussion of modern Toledo radio is very relevant and exciting so stay on topic please. Has Denny been furloughed again this week?
I haven't listened to 93.5 this past weekened, so I'm not sure. He was on last week.
