Re: Elon Musk unbans Marjorie Taylor Greene's personal Twitter account

I read the article you posted, Rate. It says approx 800K users deleted their Twitter account in a months time. I'd be curious to know how many people were deleting their account each month before Musk bought it. Later on in the article it says Twitter is still seeing growth. Wait a minute. Seems to ...

Re: Who do you want on your party's 2024 Presidential ticket?

For whichever party you're voting for, who do you want to see as the President and VP? My vote goes for Ron DeSantis at the top of the Republican ticket and Rand Paul as the VP. Both had stellar election results with DeSantis out-performing the polls by 6-7 points and with Rand Paul getting 62% of ...

Yes - didn’t go through progressive discipline. Should have been suspended first with a final warning that his behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated Depends. Turkey's post says the employee has a history of disciplinary action. Before I say what I think, I'll wait until Turkey post, as...

Not if nobody is there to maintain it. If it’s unusable or nearly so and they can’t keep up with the bugs and he can’t hire anybody having quickly developed a bad reputation it’s gonna be hard to keep people going there. Let me use an analogy to reply to you: I want to have a house built. I hire a ...

Re: Heeeees Baaaaccckkkkk….

Am I the only one pondering that Trump's return to Twitter changes the dynamics of the website? First off, no matter how much they mutter they are going to abandon Twitter, politicians and the media and entertainment industries can't stay away. It's like crack to them. Especially now that Donald's b...

Re: ‘I don't want to run for president,' Whitmer shuts down White House run

Earlier in this thread I mentioned I read a blurb about Whitmer running as Veep with Harris. This article floats Whitmer and Harris competing for the 2028 nomination:

Re: Elon isn't fucking around

Usually you don’t scare off the people who can keep it running. It’s probably going to collapse here in the next couple of months if that. The site is already bogging down and bugging out… there’s nobody around to fix it or keep up with the problems to the point Elon started begging the people to c...

Trumps Twitter has been reinstated by Elon Musk. He did this following a poll.
So much for media outlets abandoning Twitter.

Shortly before the November election, I read on The Week's website that Harris for Prez and Whitmer for Veep is being floated. Only have seen it in that one place.

Re: Dave LewAllen - what an idiot.

I would love to see a few "Jaywalking" interviews outside some polling places to learn more. Not sure I'd use a segment that is heavily edited for TV purposes as a benchmark here. I'd also like to think the people here are much wiser than the folks in L.A. County. Exactly. Like Kimmel's Liewitness ...

..... The electoral college is doing exactly what it was intended to do: force candidates to visit states that would have otherwise have ignored. A national popular vote would see candidates focusing on heavy population areas .... That's only half of it. A national popular vote would mean money and...

Re: War in Ukraine -- Why is it not a hot topic here?

I'd expect it to be a hot topic on this board. On another message board, we rarely bring up international news or politics, but this is the one thing most people keep bringing up. Considering the possibility that Putin would release a nuke, I would think it would be a hot-button issue. To be honest...

Would heat shrink plastic work? Rather than try to explain what it is, here's a link. You can get it for inside or outside. Basically you put it up, hit it with a hair dryer to make it air tight. Lowe's, Home Depot, any hardware store will have it. https://shop.familyhardware.com/product/thermwell-p...
