Re: RePack Phase 8 started
Channels 7 and 62....come in with about 31 to 32 dBu strength... Usually a HDTV receiver shows signal to noise ratio(SNR) not signal field strength. You’d need a calibrated antenna to measure field strength. The minimum SNR for solid reception is generally about 17 or 18 dB. The best SNR I have see...

Re: RePack Phase 8 started
Following the changeover, WDIV on 32 is lousy at my location, lots of dropout and tiling. Perhaps they're on a side mount 32 Aux, until the top of tower ch 45 gets replaced. Your supposition is correct. WDIV will be on their auxiliary antenna for Ch-32 for a while, which is side mounted on their to...

WDIV-TV will be moving to RF Channel 32 (from Channel 45) after the repack. They have a signal on the air today, Saturday, February 01, 2020, on their new Channel. Re: Looking for antenna advice
To receive CICO 32 in Royal Oak on a modest UHF antenna will be no problem. They have a very good signal. I am located in the 14-Mile and Greenfield area. I get great reception of CICO 32 on a small UHF-only Yagi with a rear element corner reflector, mounted on a 1-storey garage on a 2-foot tripod. ...

Re: A mildly surprising HDTV catch...
I am in the vicinity of Woodward and 14-Mile. CICO on Channel 32 has an excellent signal. My older SONY Bravia TV generally reports the SNR is greater than 25-dB. CBET on Channel 9 is located on the same tower. I have a rather elaborate Channel 9 mono-band Yagi on a pole on the roof of a one-story g...
