Re: Canada Federal Election 2019 Predictions

I estimate a Conservative Party minority government with the NDP as opposition, with another 2011-style collapse of the Liberals and the Peoples' Party of Canada gaining a few seats, with the Bloc and Greens staying around 5 or less....

Re: WHNE STA

It's a shame they couldn't get permission to use UHF 36... but they're probably way too short-spaced to Toledo's WMNT-CD (since i can actually get that one on my rooftop antenna)... that's the farthest LPTV station I can actually get on a regular basis...

5) The scenario that got the previous owners in FCC hot water, ie., unlocked doors leading to unauthorized station access. I'm surprised no one actually tried to attempt to pull off a Max Headroom or Captain Midnight on WMNT back at that time. maybe they did but literally no one was watching the st...

ugh..... I'm a long-time NDP voter but if they keep doing this, i'll switch my vote to the greens. I'd rather die than vote Liberal, and i have nothing in common with the Conservatives....

Re: Possible FM Pirate in Windsor?

I think you can... our equivalent of Part 15 is RSS-210 ( https://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/smt-gst.n ... 01320.html ), not ICES-003 as I thought it was called...

Re: Possible FM Pirate in Windsor?

I tuned in for a good 20 minutes... it's possible it's a Part-15/ICES-003 transmitter... there was no static at all... I even checked if it was a harmonic from CJAH-FM 90.5, which broadcast less than half a mile from atop an apartment building... but the songs were different...

Possible FM Pirate in Windsor?

I was sitting in a parking lot near Howard Avenue and Tecumseh Road when i was flipping through the FM dial... my truck's radio stopped on seek at 87.9 and was playing contemporary christian music (some pop, some rock, even some christian R&B). Does anyone else have any more information on this one?

Re: WHPS 15.1

I get a pretty decent signal now.... it was VERY fuzzy in the analog era, and when it flash-cut to digital on 33, i never got that... i actually picked up WGRZ (NBC 2 Buffalo) a couple times!

but now that it's on UHF 15 in digital? clear as a bell!

Re: CTV News Windsor

Funny you mention CHWI being reduced to "CFPL-DT-2" eventually... it literally started BECAUSE of that goal in mind back in 1992. Baton Broadcasting wanted to start up a station in Wheatley to cover Windsor and Chatham, but they needed a signal to relay, so they bought CFPL and disaffiliated it from...
