Re: Craig vs. Duggan

LOL! Craig has not demonstrated the capability of fielding a campaign for any elected office whatsoever thus far. Until that changes, I don't see why this pivot would be any different.

Re: SUPER SUNDAY!!!

Admittedly I only followed along with the score until near the end of regulation and then turned it on - but, see above: I'm digging the outcome. :D

Re: SUPER SUNDAY!!!

If I have to root for someone, hoping the 49er’s win to validate their playoff wins weren’t flukes. Additionally, I HATE Kansas City sports fans (had a bad experience watching a Tigers game there) and I can’t stand the cocky and arrogant Patrick Mahomes OK BUT: California sports can be just as bad....

I was unaware that RTW had an automatic sunset date.

I agree that it's dumb that the law was structured in such a fashion.
It didn't. Repeal is among the pile of laws that take effect 90 days after 2023 sine die - which is the 13th.

Re: MDOT (read: Whitmer) wants to fuck over Michigan tax payers

If the running out of gift cards mean the survey closed, Makes me wonder how small the survey sample size will be, and the resulting large margin of error. Doesn’t sound like a sound statistical judgment on which to base public taxation policy. It's still open, and with a stated survey period of Ja...

Re: MDOT (read: Whitmer) wants to fuck over Michigan tax payers

I just love how they reel us in by the $10 gift card for participating in their survey. Michigan halts gift card giveaway after overwhelming response Officials launched an online survey Tuesday, Jan. 30, and offered a $10 gift card to respondents in return for their input. By Thursday, Feb. 1, the ...

Re: Detroit Lions 2023

One other thing I'm proud of...I haven't heard any kvetching about refs or calls or anything. That's growth. Not for this one - but man, that Dallas game... >: >: >: I will note that 10-7 would be an acceptable floor - in the three years with a 17-game schedule, we haven't yet had a double-digit wi...

Re: Detroit Lions 2023

I can almost understand the first snap on 4th down as the Lions still led comfortably at that point and were deep in Niners territory. The thinking was probably this: "If we don't convert, our defense will pull through." The second one after trailing by 3? A terrible decision of epic proportions. T...

Re: Detroit Lions 2023

I get it, and I don't have a problem with them going for 4th downs frequently. But situation matters. And Campbell seems to lack situational awareness at times with regards to 3 points being very beneficial relative to the risk of not converting on 4th down. And tonight's 3rd quarter decision was o...

I knew I wasn't nuts. The 2013-14 Super Bowl WAS SF and Bal. The blackout game.

At least it won't be a total repeat.
And 2019-20 was SF and KC. But I wouldn't bank on getting that one either if this keeps up... :D :D

Lawdamercy - short of some kind of a miraculous turnaround, Baltimore ain't moving on playing like this.

They were playing Maroon 5 while Channel was playing 50 and stuff like that.
In fairness, there was reason to play Maroon 5 at that point (albeit, their debut album had basically wrapped singles-wise by the time of the Doug flip).

Re: No Detroit CHR from 1994-98?

They brought in Steve Kosbau as GM. He didn't get the station, the air talent, the format or the market. He ran off TikTok, their top personality, and replaced him with Man At Large, who is an outstanding jock, but not a night guy. Funny, as nights are where I can earliest recall Large from, up her...

The Lions have signed TE Zach Ertz away from the Cardinals - Brock Wright, despite his big play yesterday, is down with a forearm injury and Campbell is said to not be optimistic about him for next Sunday.

For good measure: Apparently the Lions weren't the only Detroit team notching a win over Tampa Bay Sunday. :D
