Re: Senate Trump Trial

I thought the left hated Bolton. Suddenly he has credibility? They don’t like him but he was there and they’d like to hear what he has to say... McConnell admits he does not have the votes to block witnesses as of now. Several of the vulnerable Republicans (the Senate is very much in play) must be ...

Re: Least favorite commercials of all-time

The TV ad for a diabetic medicine called Toujeo. The guy sitting at his desk at the office squirming around in his chair, then he gets up and wiggle walks all over the office. Then shows him at home wiggle waddling around cutting the grass. Finally tries to take the hound dog for a walk, but the dog...

For me, it's the Plexiderm commercials. That's literally a channel changer for me.
Not only the worst commercial, but the longest one. Advertising time must be cheap, late at night.

I'm not very tech savvy and it seems HP is the only brand I've ever been able to get running from new.

Re: Ink Jet Printer

Buy a laser printer. Ink jets are garbage. Plus it cartridge won't dry out or print smear when it gets wet. Only $5 more. https://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-LaserJet-Pro-M15a-Monochrome-Compact-Laser-Printer/340778181 Laser printers can last a decade or more in daily use. My printer at home is a laser. ...

Re: Scanners

It's something I hadn't expected. It's like a car radio that only tunes the presets. I thought it would be more like TV with an antenna, where the TV searches for the available channels.

This is going to be a steep learning curve for me.

Re: Scanners

I've been reading online reviews for this product. They all rate it highly, but say, for a novice, it will be very difficult to use. Out of the box, it will receive nothing at all. Only scans frequencies that the user has programmed in. How do I find out what frequencies are in use in my area and fo...

Went out today and bought the cheapest HP in the store. $44.00. Paid an extra 5 bucks for a two year warranty that covers everything.

Ink Jet Printer

For my computer in Florida I use an HP ink jet. But it seems like every year I have to buy a new one. They never work when I come back. This here keeps telling me it's out of paper when it isn't. I wonder if the oppressively hot summer weather just dries out or somehow distorts the rollers in the ma...

Re: Outa Here

Damn, that had to be a bit frightening. Being detained in a psych ward. Did you have visions of electrodes being attached to your head and "shock therapy" being applied? Buy a lottery ticket. The odds of someone with the same name AND same birth-date, as well as being a former patient at a hospital...
