Re: Least favorite commercials of all-time

Any B-B-B-B-Bulbhead BS. Deceptive advertising, showing 2-3 items on screen @ end of their commercials, but posting the single-item price. They aren't the only ones using the line (but sure seem to use it most): " BUT WAIT!!! ORDER NOW AND YOU CAN GET A 2ND OVER-PRICED P.O.S.!!! {just pay separate f...

Re: 106.7 is no more

JML was in place long before KHQ. In many ways, they were the incumbent, had the #1 spot all to themselves, only to be unseated in a relatively short period of time by KHQ's slicker and less heavily-dayparted (& AM/OptiMod-influenced) CHR on FM. I don't remember if WWRM's 'Charmin-ultrasoft-AC to To...

Re: How to interact with cops

I always try to asses if the officer has a sense of humor by asking, "Are you looking for trouble?" It is amazing how many don't. :lol That would be a dumbass yardstick. May as well ask the TSA, "Should I remove my gun and bomb, too?" in line at the airport, ya know, just to see if they have a sens...

Re: Michigan needs to act faster to combat distracted driving "crisis"

"Michigan should be a leader in all things mobility-related – whether it is the roads, or the vehicles that are on our roads, or the policy that’s keeping people safe on our roads,” says Whitmer. I don't see the beef. While I'm not a fan of our governor, she doesn't seem to have taken her eyes off t...

Re: Michigan needs to act faster to combat distracted driving "crisis"

Mrs. Governor, how about fixing the damn roads as promised instead of this nonsense? https://www.michiganradio.org/post/gov-whitmer-says-michigan-needs-act-faster-combat-distracted-driving-crisis How about 'in addition to'... It ain't just kids texting away & crossing the centerline, BTW. How many ...

Re: Weather hysterics

We got off light in NWL MI. I'm happy about it.

It's weather. Still hard to believe they don't get it right every time. Sometimes works in your favour, sometimes not.

(Now, back to your regularly-scheduled front porch rockin' chair polpot bit chin session)

That's occurring because I deleted a bunch of old threads recently; I need to rebuild the search tables.
You deleted Name The Beer, then?

Re: Posting Photos

Could be indexing / database issues as well... I can search Chatterbox for 'beer' and see hits for the 'Name the beer' thread, but when clicking the thread heading or 'go to post', the result is 'the specified thread does not exist', or something to that effect.

Re: Pop Ups

There are some things you can only smack down offline, by booting off a thumb drive w/a program designed to run independently of a sick OS or profile in eradicating nasties. Even these - when successful - may leave things in a less than optimal / desirable state. Since you've got a family tech lifel...

Re: Victim Endures Two Years of Sexual Battery

I'm guessing the victim portrayed here is not the only one... it's possible the lad's pictured in the article below: https://www.nwfdailynews.com/news/20170717/in-ring-boxer-stephany-sanchez-starks-video “When I was in high school I wanted to box and I started going to a gym near the high school for...

Re: facebook

A strange thing about the e mail, it showed me a list of names and photos of people with whom I could make contact via facebook,. Most of them were people I know, including family members. If a little chat with Ms. TT didn't turn anything up, there are some good insights as to the how & why someone...
