Re: Election reform ideas

1. Allow mail-in votes to be counted as they're received (but with the results kept secret until after polls close) - several states already do this (Florida being one) 2. Modify the Electoral College so that the system used in Nebraska and Maine is used nationwide (two votes to the overall winner o...

Re: Blarney Stone Petitions FCC to cancel WLDR license

If the license ends up getting cancelled, I think at least one station will apply to move to 101.9. I wonder if we could see something like what happened with another operator (Cochise Broadcasting) that had multiple stations silent for long periods of time. As part of a deal, Cochise voluntarily tu...

Re: 707

707 had a lot of Journey links. Kevin Chalfant, who was the lead singer on 707's "Megaforce" single, would form The Storm with three former Journey members (Gregg Rolie, Ross Valory, Steve Smith) in the early 1990s. The Storm would have a top 40 pop and top 10 rock hit with "I've Got a Lot to Learn ...

Re: KDTI Has Gone All Christmas Music

Why is KDTI in this section? Because KDTI, 37 watts at 90.3, is in Rochester Hills, MI. Since their network was dropped, it is K Love Christmas. Anyone know if it is all religious Christmas Music? It would be refreshing next to "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" and "I Want A Hippopotamus For Chr...

I had the chance to buy it, they weren't on the ball it was on the county's available properties for 6 months. I'm surprised a tower company didn't buy it. Does anyone remember when Henderson tried to go to court because consumers energy was ready to turn the power off? TCTalks- Do you get your roc...

Re: Alex Trebek dies at 80.

Tragic loss! Stage 4 pancreatic cancer tends to be fatal in a matter of months. The fact that Alex not only survived the diagnosis for over a year and a half and continued to work until just a few weeks before his passing is a testament to the human spirit. Alex made Jeopardy his own, and dedicated...

Re: Big Ten football!!!

Ohio State will roll to a B1G title. The championship game will be ugly as they'll likely be a heavy favorite, likely against the Purdue-Northwestern winner. Wisconsin should be dinged with forfeit losses in the games they lost due to COVID (especially if players were out in public maskless) and the...

Re: Traverse City Rally

From what I saw from pictures, the rally turnout was impressive considering Grand Traverse County only has a population of around 90,000!

I remember when then-candidate Trump held a rally in Cadillac during the 2016 primary season

Re: Thousands of Covid cases a day - is Whitmer responsible?

If Michigan had the testing infrastructure they had now back in late March and April, I have a feeling there would have been several days then with over 5,000 confirmed cases (and maybe a day or two with close to 10,000 confirmed cases).

Re: Election predictions thread

I think Trump very narrowly wins. He holds at least two of WI, MI, and PA and comes close to flipping MN red. Biden wins the popular vote due to running up the score in the West Coast and Northeastern states. The Peters/James race ends up within 1% (with James on top) and this race determines contro...

It's still on 91.5. I don't remember them ever switching back to 91.7 (if they did go back to 91.7, it was very brief) after it moved to 91.5 in 2017 (not long after 91.9 WGCP moved to Harrietta). They were always on 91.7 prior to 2017

Re: Christmas Shopping Early Bird Specials In Philadelphia

Some of the looted stuff will likely end up on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace, which could result in a nice (but illegal) chunk of change for some looters
