Subscribing stations make no sense in some cases (for example, ESPN 961 subscribing to Kalamazoo yet sister stations B93 and Star don't subscribe)craigrussell100 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 1:46 pmId argue no to listing them together. Having worked in both markets, they are very different places. There's a reason they are separate. Trust me....

Re: Predictions on how and when the shutdown ends
I voted for Trump, but I feel there's a good chance he doesn't finish his term in part due to his wall fight. I feel enough GOP representatives/senators will eventually support the Dem plan to reopen the government for a potential Trump veto to be overridden

There are still some south-facing antennas in Manistee (for WZZM; WZZM's tower is slightly closer to Manistee than WGTU's tower)

"Stereo 107 WUPM" in Ironwood has given its image a sorely needed update. The station, which plays an unusually diverse version of Hot AC, is now known as "Mix 106.9, Your Music, Your Mix." A very nice web site, along with hiqh quality live streaming, is available at http://www.yourmix1069.com. I c...

We are still 2 days short of the Obama 16 day shutdown and 7 days short of the Clinton 21 day shutdown. I can't remember the level of liberal outrage back then. Can somebody refresh me? Clinton's shutdown was effectively a week longer because of a large snowstorm that hit very soon after the shutdo...

On multiple occasions, a former Fleetwood Mac member has appeared on a Fleetwood Mac album after leaving the group. [*]In 1979, original guitarist Peter Green, who had left the group in 1970 but briefly rejoined in 1971 after Jeremy Spencer left, appeared on the song "Brown Eyes" off the album Tusk ...

One prediction: LAV ends up on 107.3 and keeps MSU sports (as sports and classic rock go well together)

Re: West Michigan Top-of-Hour IDs
I'm still surprised WWKR keeps running that CCM programming on Sunday mornings, especially since there are not one, not two, but three CCM stations that put a decent signal over parts of its coverage area (88.3 WSMZ, which is on the same tower as WWKR, 90.5 WPFF, and 91.1 WOLW). A few years ago, the...

7&4 gives Mr. Watkins a lot of airtime for his weather segments, too. :) Seriously, some of his weather casts run pretty long! Was stunned to see WPBN's morning newscast start at 4:30 in the morning. I still remember when a one hour local newscast in the morning was a big deal. Trying to match 9&10...

Or Uncle Charlie comes to town. In TX, Henderson had a deal in place to sell one of his sticks, but then the FCC cancelled the license before the sale could close.Colonel Flagg wrote: ↑Sun Dec 23, 2018 12:28 pmFrom a technical standpoint, these stations are an unmitigated disaster. How long will it be before "renter's remorse" occurs?
