Re: NFL Free Agency 2024
Lions sign 34-year old ex-Ravens Pro Bowl guard Kevin Zeitler to a one year contract. This fills the hole at LG vacated by the exit of Jonah Jackson and allows the Lions to go in ANY direction in the draft without drafting for immediate need.

Re: Emmett Capper, R.I.P.
I remember the name and the voice very well, back when there were genuine station booth announcers. Don Karle(sp?) at 7 was another. It's funny I don't remember Capper as a weekend anchor and weatherman, but I wasn't living in the market at the time.

Re: WTF is Harbaugh doing with the Chargers?
They have a QB with a golden arm and a terrrible receiving core. They need multiple receivers. Otherwise they have the equivalent of a Ferrari and are driving it in the city in first gear only. What's the fucking point then? That's why there's a draft. With Herbert's "golden arm" I'm sure an as-yet...

Re: WTF is Harbaugh doing with the Chargers?
When you're $25+ million over the salary cap the day before the league year starts, someone's gotta go! It's why I can't believe Harbosh can turn this puppy around in one season.

Massive but oft-injured DT D.J. Reader has signed with Lions for two years $27.5 million with $9 million guaranteed.
D-linemen James Houston and John Cominsky have been tendered, the latter with a large pay cut.

Re: NFL Free Agency 2024
Rumors are afloat that the Lions are trading for CB Carlton Davis of the Bucs, a 27-year old former second-rounder out of Auburn. (Edit) Apparently it's a done deal, but won't be official till the start of the league year on March 13. Lions receive CB Carlton Davis, Buccaneers 2024 6th-round pick an...

Re: GOP SOTU response
I rarely weigh-in down here in the jungle known as Pol Pot, but I was quite impressed with Biden's performance last night regardless and irrespective of his stance on issues. It was the Republican response which I had to turn off after only a few minutes; I can only take so much Sweet 'n' Low in my ...

Re: Talk about being in the wrong place..
I was a mere 4 1/2 miles away at the time and didn't hear a thing. All reports show it to be quite the tragic spectacle. I'm wondering if the unfortunate young man saw it coming at him and was momentarily dumbstruck.

Just as an aside, Caitlin Clark of Iowa's women's team is now the all-time NCAA Basketball scoring leader surpassing Pete Maravich.

Re: Geico Caveman
What I would like to see: The Caveman catching the Gecko and putting him on a plate, like he is going to have lunch. I would like to hear what the Gecko is going to say. You've probably noticed that GEICO recently brought back the Caveman. In one spot he bemoans that he's being depicted as a washed...
