I Went For A Walk, On A Winter's Day...

...With my newest foster dog, "The Bear." "The Bear" is a long haired, black, German Shepherd. He was rescued from animal control after being found chained to an abandoned house. He loves the snow. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7866/46830085371_50be7eef34_c.jpg He Loves my son. https://farm5.static...

The taste is much mellower than it was when I was a kid.
Might be the fact that taste buds dull with age?

Re: Vernors

A glass of Vernor's with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is a favorite summer time treat. Only time I drink it solo is if I have a sore throat or the flu. Seems to help.

Root beer works really well with ice cream too!

Re: Police worship

With the snow moving in this weekend, time to break out the crock pot and make beef stew Don't forget the bay leaves.... Oh, substituting parsnips instead of carrots, or a mixture of both, is a favorite of mime. I might even take a pot down to the local gendarme stations Saturday night as I'm sure ...

So now you know what it means when a guy is handsome.
I know that guy. I think his name is Jack. I've always thought he was a little off.

Re: Police worship

If I might change the topic for a moment.... when my lovely wife makes rice these days she cooks it in chicken broth instead of water......It really adds some pizazz to an otherwise rather bland side dish. Your wife is a smart cookie! I do that as well as toss in a can of sliced mushrooms and a bit...

Re: Dayna Clark

How long has Dayna Clark been doing weekend evenings on WWJ? I never knew she left WJR. Seems like WWJ and WJR reporters just trade back and forth. Dayna worked for USTN, the firm that provided traffic reports for WJR. When USTN shut down it's radio traffic service and Cumulus switched to Total Tra...

You had insurance that would have burned you in the ass were that to have happened... we all catostrophix insurance like that “junk insurance” for a very good reason. It isn’t like they set minimum insurance standards to be mean, they did it so that when push came to shove you got a far better deal...

Re: Outa Here

Nothing says "Middle Class" like the guy strutting around the Publix supermarket in his Tommy Hilfinger shirt, with his sunglasses on top of his head and wearing one of those cell phone ear pieces that keeps him permanently connected. See, you should go hang out with the nudists. They don't wear br...

Re: Predictions on how and when the shutdown ends

"Health insurance so people don't go broke from illness? Nope. Wasteful liberal spending!" Wait a minute... That's EXACTLY what I had prior to the ACA. Insurance that protected me from a catastrophic illness or accident. It was affordable. Now, I pay almost four times as much with a much higher ded...

Good thing that money isn't going to something worthwhile like feeding the hungry...there might be an outcry!

Well, it is. The U.S. budget for food stamps in fiscal 2019 is seven billion a MONTH. With a wall, there will be more to go around for U.S. citizens.
