Re: Clothes are now considered “non-essential”

Maybe the spread of the virus would be lessened if the Governor required us all to be naked when we left our homes? Well, except for face masks. Maybe only the good looking ones should be required to be naked? Have to preserve the Species you know... Pretty tough to do that from six feet away.

His rant was really nonsensical.
His statements made perfect sense. Does a restaurant in Alpena County, which has zero cases, need to be closed? Or could they maybe be allowed to operate with certain safe-guards?

Having employers act as a middle man for un employment checks is plain stupid.

Re: Covid 19 Media Layoffs Begin - Entercom

In my current industry, there are three major players left that can service national accounts. There are some small local operators, but they become fewer and fewer each year. I suspect, for reasons I won't get into, that when this is all over we will be the only national player left. I'm thinking t...

Covid 19 Media Layoffs Begin - Entercom

Ad dollars are drying up across the media industry. Entercom, the radio giant that owns popular local sports talk station 97.1 The Ticket and news station WWJ-AM (950), announced this week in a company-wide memo that it is planning immediate layoffs, pay cuts and furloughs amid the coronavirus cris...

Excellent Op Ed By Daniel Horowitz

In light of the decision by that "Woman From Michigan" to continue the "lock-down" in Michigan through June 9th, this is something that should be taken to heart. At present, governors and mayors face no political downside to suspending democracy and the economy with overly draconian measures. They o...

I'm a regular Chewy.com user. The normal turn around is next day. Normally, if I order by 2 PM, I get it the next day. My last order took 9 days.

Not a biggie, I can deal with it.

Michigan AG just ordered Jo Ann Fabrics to close all retail operations.

I guess selling material to people willing to make surgical masks for ER Doctors that are in very short supply is not deemed essential. But, Liquor stores are?

It's a weak argument (state law, only applicable in California), but at least you made it.
Don't you wonder why this law hasn't been challenged to the SCOTUS?

Yet New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio gets a free pass. For the vast majority of New Yorkers, life is going on pretty normally right now. And we want to encourage that...if you're under 50, and you're healthy - which is most New Yorkers - there's very little threat here. This disease, even if you w...
