This happens to WRSX Port Huron. They are part of the network known as Michigan Public. Even this morning they were out.

Re: Solar Eclipse April 8th

When I posted that reply I just noticed that it was under "active topics" and didn't check to see that it was not under one of the non-technical discussions. One theory about the eclipse we had recently, and the one seven years ago is that when combine to make an X through the United States. The peo...

Another SOS from WBAI New York

This time the cost of transmitting from 4 Times Square is getting to be too much for them. The FCC is also about to investigate them regarding underwriting violations. https://www.insideradio.com/free/fcc-looking-into-new-york-s-wbai-for-possible-underwriting-violations/article_8d3c9d48-eff7-11ee-ad...

Re: Solar Eclipse April 8th

The lights at the industrial complex south of Sarnia came on for a few minutes. There were also some lights on in Centennial Park, near the river. It looked like the streetlights along the main roads were off, however. It reminded me of what it looks like about 15 minutes before sunset. Chatham woul...

Re: Old Cable TV Line ups(New thread)

The following link shows info about the old Maclean Hunter Cable Systems in the 1970's. https://digital.library.mcgill.ca/images/hrcorpreports/pdfs/6/639445.pdf Most were in Ontario, and a few were in New Jersey. In Peterborough 93.5 % of homes opted to subscribe to cable. In St.Catharines it was 38...

Re: 8 tower array in Hamilton On.

640 CFIQ transmits from Beamsville. Both 590 The Fan (CJCL) and 680 NewsRadio Toronto (CFTR) are near Grimsby with 590 being southeast of where 680 is located. During the daytime 900 CHML will continue to protect three U.S. radio stations, including 910 WFDF. They could apply to lose the nulls towar...

Re: 8 tower array in Hamilton On.

Easy catch in New York City from dusk to dawn. Similar to what WMVP 1000 from Chicago is where I live. When CHML went 50,000 watts many years ago, WFRO in Ohio was still on the air. That is why they are limited to the Southwest. There was another 900 am up North (Sudbury) which is why you have anoth...

Re: Global Sarnia-Oil Springs

Over here sometimes cable companies are required to carry certain TV signals. In the early 1980's Maclean Hunter wanted to be exempt from adding CFMT Toronto from their St.Catharines cable lineup because none of the programming was in either English or French at the time. The CRTC made them carry it...

I find Marantz to be excellent, although I have a two channel Integrated Amp, and not a surround sound system. How is Pioneer these days?

Here is a Marantz Surround receiver

Even the audio processing on Cool 106.3 in Sarnia sounds better than the Beasley owned stations to me.

Re: Global Sarnia-Oil Springs

Sarnia's high cable penetration might have kept TVO from adding a local transmitter.
