1450 WHLS missing from the AM dial lately
Rock 105.5 continues to be heard on the FM signal. WIth WHLS missing I was able to hear 1440 WMKM Inskter (1 KW D.A.) 1450 WLEC from Sandusky, OH (1 KW), and even 1460 WPON from Oakland county (670 watts D.A.). On 1450 there is what sounds like a dead carrier and it is much weaker than what the WHLS...

Re: Some Longley-Rice maps are available for FM stations at rabbitears.info!
https://rabbitears.info/fmq.php This link allows you to search by city and state. One thing that's worth noting is that you won't get the whole metro area in one list. For example if you are looking for WCSX you either have to enter those call letters or put in Birmingham, MI. I also have not been a...

Canadian Numeris Radio Ratings
https://en.numeris.ca/media-and-events/radio-diary-topline I took a good look at the Windsor ratings. Compared to last year CIDR-FM is way down in the ratings with it's current format. I also noticed how much better Blackburn's CJWF is doing than Country 89. The local winners there are AM 800 CKLW a...

Re: The Breeze Drifts Away
I'm beginning to wonder what Cumulus will do with WDRQ. They could either go Classic Country or pick up where the Breeze left off.

Re: 89X,93.9 The River & AM580 are Gone
In Sarnia 580 CKWW has always came in better than AM 1550 (now CBEF) which is 10,000 watts. CKWW also has less interference at night.

Re: Trouble ahead for Canadian small market broadcasters
So stations like CKNX in Wingham and CFOS in Owen Sound could be gone as a result of this. Maybe the rules should be changed so that each company can operate up to three FM stations in a market instead of just two. The limit would still be four stations per market (AM 1 station, FM 3 stations). Righ...

Re: Spring 2020 Numeris ratings for Windsor, Chatham-Kent and Sarnia!!!
How do you find out about out of town listening? In Sarnia both WGRT and WSAQ from Port Huron have a good number of listeners. WIndsor residents often listen to Detroit radio.

Re: What's your typical FM Dial?
In Sarnia there have always been the regulars from Detroit, Windsor, and London. Locally we had the CBC (106.3 first ; now 90.3), 99.9 FM and 107.1 WSAQ from Port Huron for years. There also 95.1 from Chatham which used to be CKSY and with tropo we heard Cleveland, Toledo, Grand Rapids, Lansing and ...

To answer the HD Radio question I checked all the FM stations from Sarnia and Port Huron on a HD Radio and not one of them is broadcasting in HD.
